I graduated from Wesleyan University in 2011 as an honors music major. During my time there, I worked to create and foster community surrounding the arts, social justice, diversity inclusion, and activism through student organizations that I created and helped to lead. One of my outlets for this work was PeaceJam. I went to my first PJ conference in 2007 as a performer, and then quickly volunteered to help in whatever way I could; as an MC, then a mentor, and then an advisor. PeaceJam has been an inspiration for me as a young person and I want to be able to spread it all over New England, linking youth with Nobel Peace Laureates to work together to make a better world today and tomorrow.
I have grown up in the non-profit world, and have a deep appreciation for people who have made a commitment to make the world a better place through the work that they do. I am very excited to have taken on the role of Affiliate Coordinator for the New England affiliate of PeaceJam. I feel honored to be able to put the majority of my time and focus toward doing this important work and making a difference in the world, for youth and for everyone.
