Eva Marszewski has over 35 years’ experience in law, conflict resolution and facilitation.
Eva set up Peacebuilders International in 2002, which uses peace-building circles, facilitation
and conflict management training to educate and promote civic engagement by empowering
high-risk communities to address youth violence, establish mentorships, and build positive
community relationships. She is partnering with schools, universities, police, Canadian courts
and community organisations to inculcate the values of respect, peace and conflict resolution
as well as the critical importance of community. Rather than be sent straight to courts or jail,
which can often lead to greater anti-social or criminal behaviour, Eva’s approach allows youth
to talk out differences, take responsibility, and make amends for their wrongdoings through
the network of community supports and mentors ready to assist them.
