I am PROUD to be a Kenyan. Even though not in kenya now my heart, memories are all in my little village. It is the place that i feel the happiest whenever i visit and also the people are loving and caring.
I am a woman, my mother was a woman, my grandma was a woman and so is my sister....these people have inspired me immensely and if it was not for them, i would survived being a woman in my village. So, i want other young girls to get such role models as well and women to inspire young ones like my mother/grandma. So, it is through women, girls and youth lens that i use in approaching issues.
I am a founder of a women's sewing group in kenya and a co-finder of a scholarship program that gives girls chances to attend secondary schools. I have volunteered in the past at schools teaching, interned at a clinic, help with bake sales to raise money for HIV orphan in Kenya, worked in empowering youths and many more...
