Joe has been an innovator and leader in the cartoon arts for the past 20 years.
He is a nationally acclaimed cartoonist and storyteller. He performs nationwide for children and families, and is the resident cartoonists of the Charles M. Schulz Museum. Joe is also Executive Director and founder of the ToonSeum, Pittsburgh's Museum of Cartoon Art.
While Joe is primarily known for his performance work, he is also the Pittsburgh Producer of Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School, a life drawing event with a decidedly grown up spin.
having worked with the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh for 18 years I have always enjoyed the North Side of Pittsburgh. It is also the home of our ToonSeum which produced a comic book guide to the North Side thanks to the generous support of the Charm Bracelet Project.
I want to see more focus on the arts. I want to see our children actually having access to the arts and arts programming and education.
