I am a British Mathematician turned education entrepreneur. I spent eight years studying Mathematics at Oxford, obtaining my Master’s in 2007 and PhD in 2011. My fierce belief in the power of education to liberate young minds, and my discontentment with existing norms in public education, inspired my transition to social entrepreneurship. I pursued a Master's in International Education Policy at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, graduating in May. I am currently working on two education start-ups, both targeted at high school students in the US. These projects will keep me in Boston for at least another year. I am interning at Ashoka Changemakers over the summer and hope to use the experience to further my understanding of the social entrepreneurial landscape, and to build my networks in the field.
