I am active in social justice and conservation in the area in which I live, but also internationally. I also continue to study international development in order to contribute to finding solutions to global issues.
I am a native from northwest Montana, in the U.S. I grew up around mountains, lakes, and rivers, and that has become an integral part of who I am and where I feel most at home.
I want to see everyone, regardless of gender, age, nationality, or ethnicity have their basic human needs met in a manner that is sustainable, and even beneficial, to our environment.
I graduated from Montana State University in Political Science and Women's Studies. Following graduation, I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in a rural town in El Salvador. During my Peace Corps service I was involved in: the creation of a youth group and micro-enterprise, fuel-efficient stove distribution, reforestation of our municipality, ecotourism, and gender equity education and training.
After returning to the U.S., I began a career as Grants and Outreach Coordinator for Ecology Project International.
