Ashoka Fellow since 1999 and founder of Associação Lua Nova, Sorocaba (SP), Brazil, focused on social integration of girls and young women with background of abuse, violence and sexual exploitation. Raquel is a member of the Latin American Network for Reduction of Social Suffering (RAISSS) and of Community Outreach Committee of UNISA - University of Sorocaba.
