What will be the impact of your idea? 

Every great idea impacts people on many different dimensions. Some dimensions are easily measurable and some are not ; though all are important. Here the impact shall be discussed in terms of clearly measurable metrics while realizing that the less measurable impact can perhaps best be imagined and felt intutively.

The measurable indicators are:( Illustrative list only)
1. Number of institutes and students covered across India and then across the globe

3. Number of viewer interactions per week on the website– How many people take action?
4. Number of Volunteering hours generated
5. Number of Social Organisations served.
6. Number of documentaries collected and comissioned.

3. Educational Institute as facilitator

Ofcourse it goes without saying that the tremedous benefit will be to the society as a whole. for students are the future of every nation.

hubham Anand - An IT graduate and MBA(non-profit sector) have been instrumental in transforming the admission system of Delhi University and currently a Sr. Media Fellow of
the Public Service Broadcasting Trust undertaking a study on business models for documentaries.
National Award Winner For being part of team standing first in National Youth Parliament competition given by Govt Of India.

To start with it is my individual dream however I have support from many quarters thru which I intend to build my team. The following people and organisations have supported the work:
1. Public Service Broadcasting Trust ( www.psbt.org ; they have 300 documentaries)
2. Coleago Consulting a leading London based media consultancy. ( probono advice)
3. Shailesh Srivastava - Sr Sub- Editor ,New Indian Express( leading english daily)
4. Suchita Venkatchalam , MS Communication , Faculty Jain Media College.
5. Tanya Mohan , Bachelor of Mass Communication
6. Ashok Kumar, Chief Engineer BSNL

Combined the team shall be a mix of years of experience and youthful energy.
Some Team members shall be directly hired based on work requirments.

How much will it cost to launch your idea? (This can be an estimate)

The model is sustainable and scalable as a very small subscription amount ( USD $2) shall be charged per student per annum however since the number of students will grow the revenues will multiply and make the project self - sustaining. ( the figures are India specific)

Till date have been awarded the Sr Media Fellowship worth about USD $2000 and got pro bono advice as well as a financial modelling for Media Industry software worth USD $12,000 from Coleago Consulting UK. (www.coleago.co.uk)

A starting seed fund is required for meeting expenses under three major heads :( in USD)
(This is an approx budget for a more detailed financial modelling shall be presented later)
Capex
1. Documentary Content non exclusive rights acquisition costs ---- $100 x 200( docs) = $20,000
Opex
2. School Partnership creation and administrative costs ----- $ 100 x 100 (sch) = $ 10,000
3. Marketing the program, website creation and promotion costs --- 5000+2000+4000 = $11,000

Thus an estimated of about USD $ 41,000 is required then the project should become operationally self -sustaining.
