it will take hours for me to expain the truth that if the media would have performed as a tool to social change in india as well the whole world . Do you think the world would have filled with violence, war, terrirism ? the things which supposed to be done by the media that is to raise the voice of weaker, help victim to get the justice, stand against the wrong policies of government etc. half of the problems would have been finished. but the media is also become professional where they are concern about their ratings, advertisements, breaking news, paid and sponsored programmes. so the need is to make them aware of their own duties and responsibilies then only we can inspire them to be the tool to become social change.
To INSPIRE the LISTENER ... KNOW THYSELF! With media, like a community member in disagreement with a leader, the act of LISTENING MUST take precedence! WHO is LEADING whom? ARE WE leading ourselves to the watering hole of ignorance? Is our responsibility to police the masses, to correct those who ignore patient observation, to console those depressed by ignoring the full picture of a story/topic? Or, are we supposed to educate ourselves BASED on what we hear, or what we investigate, & question deeply?
Today, there tends to be 'no time' to invest in the depth of fully understanding what is accepted as honest media &/or popular media. We MUST take the time to execute judgement ON THE THINGS 'WE' BELIEVE. ONLY then, will our conversations encourage social change, FIRST in our local communities & then the world at large.
We, have turned off the television & accept that the MOST important media will reach US by WOMB - Word Of Mouth & Body. The internet allows US to see the full picture WHEN we spend our time [like wealth] to investigate our interests. THEN, what someone tells us about a topic/story, we will have a greater spectrum/perspective of OUR interests to thus communicate honestly in our local WORLD ... AS THE WORLD LISTENS IN.
