Please explain why your idea/project, is suited/perfect to using... 'media' ...to bring about A BETTER "WORLD"...the entire planet...?

Ending genocide ideology is a large psychological task within itself too even grasp.
But we're holding onto something larger & stronger than our hands can, oddly enough, evenly wrap around. Wrapping the mind around ending ideological 'socially-accepted' genocide is a global-communal-responsibility. Simply look at the notion of 2012 A.D. begun two thousand twelve years ago. Why count down to a day 'foretold' by an isolated culture, from the rest of the planet to sill little know tribes hiding around the globe, to the 'now global audience' which is intrigued & [ready to throw a New Years Party for] collectively preparing for this times' arrival, whether one wants to admit it or not.
"ALL THE WORLD IS IN ON IT". The CASE in point? Is capitalistic...mobile-is-tick...tock, the clock is expiring on humanity to work together for BETTER.
Shall we point to the case of NASA, Star Wars, Star Trek, & the list goes on.
MEdia, MY day & yOURs, is about the conversations that build our societies. If we are to INSPIRE EMPIRE of a BETTER WORLD...this is the time AND place to do it...!
NOW we've WON why WAIT for WHEN?! Barack Obama may be 'As Good As It Gets' [fun movie: see, Jack Nicholson & Leelee sobieski's Movie-Mother] to get this hint. Being an inspired writer, even now, i too have to see it again to really get what that comment 'means' myself, to an 'end' of ignorance, & a brandnew 'beginning' to understanding [myself, MY WORLD, my DAY, MEdia, BETTER] you & ore, the distant mirror of me.
We hope you will let your mind heart, & oddly enough even if it sounds funny, body flow (70%) aware & refueled by the nature of eden WiTHiN you, and be an infinite infant, willing to grow. Let me know...what more to sow. Peace~!
The sanctity of life is the most important human right that should be preserved and respected by all and everywhere. A genocide whenever it occurs doesn’t become an isolated tragedy for particular people and or culture; It is a collective failure for the WHOLE HUMANITY.
This proposal suggests addressing early signs of genocide ideologies to ensure that some of the dark ages and tragedy that hunts the history and memory of the entire Humanity and cast a collective failure of responsibility never happen again. Let’s take an example of different genocides perpetuated during the past century (Jewish, Rwandan and Armenian) genocides, they reflects a collective failure of Humanity to prevent the slaughter of more that 7 millions people and it becomes even expenses to addresses the consequences that the causes of these genocides.
Since a genocide is not an incident but a tragedy that involves a long process (going from preparation to execution); we need to educate children since early age to make sure that they grow knowing the danger of genocide for Humanity and the respect for a human life and to break the cycle of division, hatred and indoctrination that lead to such tragedies.
Fortunately today’s media gives us a great possibility of participation and sharing information and knowledge on what is going on; the SMS media is one of the cheapest and widely spread and personally engaging media that can help to address this problem not only locally but also globally. This is why we fill that it is very important.
The use of mobile phone technology for both economic and social development efforts is becoming more widespread globally. This project is unique in that it utilizes low-cost pervasive technology to address two existing social and human development challenges in Rwanda. It allows for participatory assessment of new national education programs and policy initiatives at the grassroots level. Currently, Rwanda is undergoing tremendous changes in the education sector. For example, Rwanda recently changed the language of education to English from French. Secondly, it addresses an identified need to promote coexistence and conflict resolution through basic education, to ensure that the youth of Rwanda have the tools to make certain that the ideology “never again Rwanda” becomes a reality. SMS, as a medium, can engage with partners directly and effectively and allows a great flexibility regarding the adaptation to the audience and information sharing. By setting up a two way feedback system, the project encourages teacher participation, empowering them to contribute to solutions in education. This is particularly true of teachers in rural areas who are geographically isolated from other educators. In addition, this system will promote active grassroots accountability in education systems.
There are so many mobile phones in the world and the ways we can use them for good are still being discovered every day. I think a project like this is important because it is using a medium that youth can relate to, and is dealing with an issue that the younger genrations have the power to take control of.
I would strongly suggest that you look at some of the work done by Development Seed using mobile phones for data collection and Drupal for making that data useful on the web for the world to learn from.
