I read through your proposal and very much liked the concept you are aiming at. you mentioned that Monrovia's infrastructure has been comprimized by civil war and I was curious to know at what stage your idea is at?
What has been the greatest challenge in developing Quench as a viable business?
I am also very impressed with the combination of sport and daily living. The bonds people make through sport are a great way of establishing an identity and I think that will go a long way in establishing the network needed to make your initiative a success.
The Liberian civil war started back in December, 1989 when I was just one and the half years old, I grow up with the circumstances that we are fighting to rebuild. The concept of bagging water in 500ml bags to sell is common in Liberia but manually done. As a footballer it had been my thoughts to have an improve water bagging plant that will produce sufficient 500ml bags of pure and safe drinking water to supply communities and the athletes and spectators at a stadium of approximately thirty thousand or more during games. I had the opportunity to sell my idea to Homeless World Cup Organization early 2008 and due to its viability, the HWC have since studied and improved on it waiting for funding. Now that my idea is at an embryo stage.
The greatest challenge in developing Quench as a viable business is funding to implement the concept.
Thank you for comments and to get more feelback form you.
Hi Dehko,
I am lucky to have chance to meet Mel Young (HWC) at couple of occasions and I remember him talking about this project. It is inspiring to initiatives combining social development and simple commercial ideas.
