Wycliffe,

It is truly incredible the amount of traction you've gotten with very little funding and support. It's amazing to see how you've harnessed the power of technology to spread the message about your program.

You mention a LOT of barriers to implementing, scaling up your project. Can you explain a bit further about the the community "unwilling" to let their children play sport? Do these same barriers exist for boys or men who play sport?

thanks,
Stephani

Hi Wycliffe,

I like your idea here. Have you reached out to some similar programs to see how they have tackled this problem? What are the biggest hurdles you have to overcome this year. Perhaps if we get very specific around the problems then we can help direct solutions or tackle the issues one at a time. To spark conversation - what is the first thing you would do with the prize money? That should help identify the biggest need.

I look forward to hearing more.

Hello Wycliffe,

Great program! Since it is in the planning phase, I assume you will come across a number of problems that you haven't thought of. One of which I can think of is: Will you face pushback from the families of the mothers? When the mothers are competing and practicing, who will take care of their children?

The idea is GREAT in that it reminds the mothers that they still have some outlet to gain self-confidence and strength.

Good luck!

Hi Wycliffe-

I really like your initiative! Providing teenage mothers with the opportunity to be engaged and active is great! Specifically, what type of advocacy messages does your organization hope to integrate alongside the sport to influence the lives of these young mothers? You mentioned changing messages during events... would you mind providing examples of what you mean by this?

I look forward to learning more!
