Investing for Charity (IFC) is a venture based on educating students to empower themselves and improve their community in ways that students do not experience in typical secondary education systems.

IFC focuses on four phases: fundraising, research, investment, and volunteering. Members jointly research and construct a micro-credit portfolio from funds received through self-organized community-based fundraisers. Our club makes use of the micro-credit organization Kiva to connect our community with communities spread across the world. We believe that by taking leadership in our own community and directing our efforts towards others with the use of Kiva, we can make an impact on the livelihood of others. Our initial project spans two years, during which we will continue to fund raise, invest, and eventually donate all funds to chosen charities in the education sector. During this time we will continue to expand our club’s model to new schools so that we will can spread our unique form of secondary education.
