ArtsBC supports the central role of arts and arts practices in building community and the unique ways in which arts and culture contribute to a strong, healthy society. ArtsBC represents over 200 members, including arts councils, organizations, businesses and affiliates, individuals and students in BC. In addition to its annual presentation of BC Arts and Culture Week, ArtsBC is involved with the delivery of funding and professional development programs, an annual conference and AGM, as well as advocacy and other activities that help promote arts and culture in BC.

Founded in 1980, Ashoka has been in Canada since 2002.

Ashoka Changemakers

Ashoka Changemakers builds on Ashoka's three decade history and belief that we all have the ability to be a Changemaker by connecting social entrepreneurs around the globe to share ideas, inspire, and mentor each other. Through its online collaborative competitions and Open Growth platform, Changemakers.com is one of the world’s most robust spaces for launching, discussing, and funding ideas to solve the world’s most pressing social problems.

British Columbia Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres

The British Columbia Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres (BCAAFC) is the umbrella organization for the 25 community Friendship Centres located across British Columbia. The BCAAFC and its over 1000 staff members are celebrating their 40th year of providing quality service in various social programs to the urban Aboriginal population of BC.

BC Social Innovation Council

The BC Social Innovation Council was appointed in February 2011 by the Province of British Columbia to seek new and innovative ways to help BC communities tackle the most pervasive social challenges of the day. The council represents government, community and business agencies with an interest in social entrepreneurship, including credit unions, foundations, academics, local and/or provincial government, business, investors, social entrepreneurs and innovators.

BC Sport Agency

The BC Sport Agency’s mission is to lead a united sport sector in a culture of achievement to make sport and physical activity relevant for all British Columbians of every skill level at all ages. Its vision is of an active, healthy British Columbia where sport inspires a field of possibilities for all.

Capilano University

Capilano University is a learner-centred university located in North Vancouver that has set our strategy on fostering the kind of person-to-person connections that benefit our students, our communities, and our world. Capilano is dedicated to building curricular and co-curricular experiences that prepare students to be change-makers in addition to being well prepared in their chosen fields of study. The focus on “applied smarts” is fundamental in all our academic programs and sets the stage for our graduates to truly engage in and make a difference in the world. Columbia Basin Trust

CBT supports the efforts by the people of the Basin to create a legacy of social, economic and environmental well-being, and to achieve greater self-sufficiency for present and future generations.

Community Council

The Community Council analyzes socio-economic trends and develops community solutions to emerging issues in BC’s Capital Region. The Council mobilizes community stakeholders to take action for change in four priority areas: Community Economic Development;Community Sustainability; Poverty Reduction and Prevention, and; Housing Affordability. The Council is developing a Community Investment Fund and a social entrepreneurship training program for youth.

Community Living BC

Community Living BC is a provincial crown agency that funds supports and services that enable adults with developmental disabilities to achieve their goals and live as fully and independently as possible in their community.

Community Living Innovation Venture

Central to the concept of The Venture is the engagement and strategic involvement of funders, community organizations and business leaders in supporting several pilot innovations through which interested parties from across the sector can learn together. The Venture was established with funding from Community Living BC and 2010 Legacies Now. The Vancity Community Foundation is responsible for the development and operation of The Venture.

Decoda Literacy Solutions

Decoda Literacy Solutions is BC’s literacy organization. Through our literacy expertise and coordinated community network, we support literacy programs and practitioners and work with government, business, NGOs and more to achieve community literacy goals.

Enterprising Non-Profits

Enterprising Non-Profits (ENP) is a unique, collaborative program that promotes and supports social enterprise development and growth as a means to build strong non-profits and healthier communities.

Federation of Community Social Services of BC

Since 1982, the Federation of Community Social Services of BC has been a recognized voice in BC for community social services. We represent over 130 diverse, caring and committed member agencies who serve the needs of children and youth, women, people with disabilities and families. Our mission is to promote excellence in community services and we do it by advocating, networking, skill-building and public education.

ISIS at the Sauder School of Business

The ISIS Research Centre at the Sauder School of Business, UBC is focused on advancing social innovation and sustainability, through research, incubation, and application. ISIS defines social innovation as new approaches to solving existing social, cultural, economic, political, and environmental challenges. ISIS partners with individuals and organizations across all sectors to pilot solutions, build capacity and share ideas in order to create shared value, in its main research themes of low carbon economy, social economy and first nations economic development.

The J.W. McConnell Foundation

The J.W. McConnell Foundation was founded 75 years ago in Montreal. It is a national private foundation whose mission is to engage Canadians in building a society that is inclusive, sustainable and resilient.

LIFT Philanthropy Partners

LIFT Philanthropy Partners uses a venture philanthropy approach to support not-for-profit organizations to become sustainable and more effective at delivering measurable social impact that improves the health and productivity of Canadians and their communities. LIFT evolved from 2010 Legacies Now, which leveraged the 2010 Winter Games to create social impact in BC communities.

Planned Lifetime Advocacy Network (PLAN) is a family-led organization founded to secure the future for people with disabilities.

Selkirk College

The Land Conservancy of BC

Since 1997, TLC The Land Conservancy of BC has been saving special places throughout our beautiful province for today and future generations. As B.C.'s leading charitable land trust, we have protected more than 300 properties or 125,000 acres of fast disappearing natural areas, historic sites, farms and ranches, and places of community and recreational importance. TLC works with many partners, all levels of government, businesses, community groups, and individuals to ensure the broadest support for our activities. The Land Conservancy is proud to work on behalf of over 8,000 Members worldwide.

United Way of the Lower Mainland

United Way of the Lower Mainland addresses the underlying causes of critical social issues such as poverty, bullying and social isolation before they become crises. Working with 160 community partners in Metro Vancouver we fund about 500 programs each year to create a better future for children and seniors.
