May 2016: Dr. Sara Saeed, 29, co-founder of doctHERs, wins the HRH The Prince of Wales Young Sustainability Entrepreneur Prize, awarded by Unilever and the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL).
Ashoka and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation have partnered to catalyze a movement through a network of leaders who are driving a new vision for the field of children’s wellbeing in the United States. We believe that kids thrive when they grow up with a strong sense of self, purpose, and belonging, and that these ‘building blocks’ of wellbeing help children form healthy relationships, show resilience in the face of trauma, and make thoughtful choices.
Sonali Ojha is empowering street children to create and sustain a vision of the future through an innovative and participatory curriculum that will help them to leave the street behind and build successful lives. By training organizations working with street children nationally and internationally in this new curriculum, she wants to add wholeness of spirit and emotion to the list of "basic necessities" children need.
