Director of Communications & Design Arlington, VA

The Director of Communications & Design will report directly to the Executive Partner and will oversee the creation and management of communications and design across a wide range of philanthropic and corporate partnerships. This includes responsibility for our brand, our media channels and our web properties, including our pioneering Changemakers.com platform. The Director will be responsible for leading a team of designers, media strategists and content creators, while building high-impact partnerships that extend our capabilities. The Director will be in a position to amplify the voices of leading innovators around the world.

Digital Content Manager Arlington, VA

The Digital Content Manager works with the Changemakers and the broader Ashoka team to engage audiences of social innovators and players in the social change ecosystem with compelling content and storytelling across a variety of digital platforms. The Digital Content Manager will be primarily focused on developing content campaigns for partnerships with major foundations spanning a variety of issue areas and for the purposes of building collaborative networks of changemakers.  

The candidate should have a strong understanding of digital content strategy, inbound marketing, and social media strategy. This role requires excellent communication skills, writing and editing skills, knowledge of headline and SEO strategy, ability to track performance metrics, and foundational PR and earned media skills. The candidate should have the ability to communicate complex information in an easy-to-understand and inspiring way, and to develop and execute a campaign strategy for engaging a variety of audience segments. Excellent collaborative and listening skills, project management skills, understanding of the social change space, comfort with research and working across a variety of issue areas, ability to set concrete goals and the scope of activities while responding to new opportunities, ability to meet deadlines, and strong partner communication skills are needed. 

Web Designer Arlington, VA

This job puts you on the front lines of Changemakers’ relationship with the thousands of changemakers who visit changemakers.com on an annual basis. In essence, it involves the design, creation and maintenance of our web platforms - which are usually multi-lingual - in a way that creates value for the changemakers, our corporate partners and Ashoka itself. The role also includes interaction with Ashoka offices, Fellows and other network members in order to maintain and create new content. The Designer will work closely with contract web developers and designers, and our web strategy team to create  fantastic digital experiences on our platforms.

North America Network Manager Arlington, VA

We seek a highly motivated, socially minded individual to help build a vibrant network of social innovators, partners, media partners, and other changemakers around Ashoka Changemakers’ main tools for community-building: challenges, online courses, social innovation mapping, and boot camps. The North America Network Manager will cultivate trusting relationships with peer organizations and increase collaboration among outstanding North American social innovators.

Social Media Intern Arlington, VA

Do you LOVE social media? Can't go an hour without checking Facebook? Are you tweeting in your sleep?

Then we want YOU. Ashoka Changemakers is looking for a Social Media Intern will work directly with within the Partnerships Manager and Digital Content Manager to perform outreach about Changemakers’ programs and campaigns to online information outlets including blogs, social networking sites, and the online communications of partners.

The Social Media Intern will have the opportunity to learn how to create and implement online marketing and engagement campaigns. This will include learning about new strategies, tactics and tools in the process of working with a fast moving team and highly dedicated team of Changemakers staff.

Impact Evaluation Intern Arlington, VA

As an Impact Evaluation intern, you will have the opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of how social sector organizations measure their impact in our constantly evolving world. You will be responsible for driving impact evaluation within Changemakers, measuring how successful we are at connecting innovators and funders to drive social change. This involves improving surveys, recommending how we can improve outcomes, and potentially developing a portal that shares our evaluation results publicly and transparently.

Finance Intern Arlington, VA

Are you interested in real work in finance and accounting field ? Do you want to be busy using skills you have learned in the classroom?  The finance intern will help develop skills and gain hands on experience of real work in the field of accounting and finance. You will be assisting on regular operation work as well as involved in challenging projects where you can think outside of the box and come up with financial and reporting solutions. This is a great position to have a exposure in real non profit finance field.

Talent Intern Arlington, VA

Do you want to build a team that connects social entrepreneurs around the world?   The Changemakers Talent Intern will gain valuable exposure to the world of nonprofit human resources and organizational development working with the Talent Manager.   

Candidates should be driven, well-organized, and detail-oriented who are interested in designing a team that models best in class talent and operations while finding fun opportunities to innovate every day.   Primary support opportunities are system design and implementation, professional development strategy, outreach to candidates & partners, research and assistance with event execution.  While this is an unpaid position this is an outstanding leadership opportunity.


Network Activation Intern Arlington, VA

The Network Activation Team at Ashoka Changemakers is a global team with members in Africa, Asia, Latin America, North America and Europe. We are network builders - we build relationships with key stakeholders in our markets in order to build an everyone a Changemaker world. By working with us, you'll have a chance to be part of internal conversations and get to learn more about the social innovation ecosystem in different parts of the world. You'll help us document our practices and build from the analyzes of our activities what are the best strategies to move forward. You'll also help us by putting together material (presentations, emails etc) that will enable our teams to work more effective.

Corporate Partnerships Intern Arlington, VA, USA Changemakers is seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented and marketing driven Corporate Partnerships Intern. The Intern will report directly to the Partnerships Manager and will primarily support outreach and communication efforts for a growing portfolio of partners designed to build long-term, multifaceted, collaborative partnerships with the global corporate community. Core areas of support include preparing proposals and disseminating information for current partners, conducting research, developing, preparing, updating, and coordinating materials for potential partners, and assist with event execution. This is an excellent, part or full time unpaid position that will play a significant role in scaling the partnerships department. If you’re looking to take the lead and acquire hands on skills and experience in the nonprofit space this fall, this position is for you!   This is an opportunity to build a better world at the intersection of innovation, technology, economics and social entrepreneurship. Our Knowledge Team is dedicated to creating learning experiences that help changemakers succeed in making a difference, from innovation trends reports and interactive resource toolkits to online courses for social entrepreneurs and storytelling skills workshops. We are also responsible for collecting data related to these learning experiences, so that we are constantly improving our offerings. Someone with a desire to develop their portfolio, expand their data analysis skills in our real-world setting, and produce reports, charts, graphs, and infographics will benefit from this internship.
