About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

Hope Floats Foundation is a value-based Trust dedicated to the dignity and autonomy of human beings as individuals, With the help of our dedicated team we want to open a University for the poor in the area of Jharkhand for the tribals. Through quality education they can earn their living and support their families.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

Our Aim is to establish a private university in the state of Jharkhand and act as role model for institutional excellence in higher education among leading institutions in the world as a multidisciplinary, research-driven university fostering excellence in teaching, research, community service, and capacity building and nurturing socially responsible leaders through an eclectic and sustainable approach serving the local and regional communities. Through its work, we seek to build bridges across nations, working with national, international, and governmental organisations, nongovernmental organisations, and business organisations. We will nurture them so that they can earn their living on their own.
Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

Till Now no university is working specially to cater to the tribals of Jharkhand region. Currently Most of the students who want to study move outside the region for education, and high percentage of them leave studies to earn the livelihood. By providing education with the help of local govt we can offer them free education in different fields and make them self reliant. This will improve the socio-economic stature of the region and communities. I asked to one of the helper working in my house why he didn't go for higher education. He told that his family was unable to bear the expenses of sending him to other region for Higher education that;s why he could not continue.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

Work till date is in starting phase. Once the project is implemented it will be great boost for the society of the region. With proper education and skill development the poor and the tribal can be brought to the mainstream of the society. This may serve as role model for other parts of the country. They need to be trained and educated according to the employment demand, also they can be further groomed to become innovators and entrepreneurs which will return the knowledge and skills back to the society.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

We are currently in partner with our other company Insylabs have created 300 Franchises Network across India which will boost our admission process of the University. Means we will not have any issues related to generating business through education. Till date we have affiliated with many universities providing distance education across the country. So we have got the good acumen of the market potential. Moreover since we will invest infrastructure there won't be any ;losses.
Sustainability

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

Total Budget of the Project will around 50 Crore of which 10 crore will be spent on the 50 acres of land. 10 Crore on Building. 10 Crore for Furniture , laboratories, books and other required infrastructure. 5 Crore for Affiliation and the rest amount will be kept for running the business for 3 years to generate the money. The cost of real estate always gains with time so a big amount will remain secured in terms of infrastructure.

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

There are hardly 2-3 universities in Jharkhand so there is very less competition in the market. Jharkhand is surrounded by other four states from where students migrate to other places of the country for education if we provide good environment and placement opportunities there are bigger chances of success. The purpose for opening in Jharkhand is low cost and less competition.

Founding Story

It was my child hood dream to make some thing big. I started as an IT professional then joined engineering colleges for teaching and worked for around 12 years as professor. During my job I also authored around six books for engineering students. Then suddenly I quit the job and started my business to flow my experience and knowledge to society. My business is in website development and distance education. Then after gaining enough experience from the market and job I am planning for college or University where I can put my efforts for serving the society at large and also for more profit gains.
