About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

Social inequality, poverty and social injustice. Without electricity what can one achieve? Our solution is solar energy.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

Provide clean energy to the growing economies of Africa. find local people with entrepreneurial skills in rural communities. Provide them training (technical) and a bit entrepreneurial and help them to build a small scale solar business to support his community. At the same time build a localized tech hub center where poeple can share and learn using the latest computers, smart boards and books. Objective is to extend the presence of Solar in Africa to reduce CO2 emissions and provide a sustainable source of electricity to the remaining 70% of the African population that remains unconnected.

In order to slow the pace of global warming, African Tech Renaissance's objective is to expand the existence of Solar in Africa to reduce CO2 emissions and provide a sustainable source of electricity to the remaining 70% of the African population that remains unconnected. Also the primary goal is start up a local think tank where people can come together and share ideas and build new projects.
