Ahora Bolivia was born in December 2007 as result of an initiative from Sebastian Molina and Rosa Jiménez Cano in the journalistic field and Stalunati in the technical and design role. The portal was created in a moment marked by high tension and political polarity in Bolivia, when positive and proactive information with a development vision was highly required.
That is the reason why “Ahora Bolivia the media that concentrates on the good things of Bolivia” was born, within the aim if listening to the voices of the citizen building the new Bolivia, a media with a vision based on construction and not in confrontation. Free voices committed with the freedom. Voices that believe in the unity of a country rich in resources and culture.
The intention is to raise the self esteem of a country that will influence citizens positively. A country submerged in crisis only generates confusion. A country where there is an intention to move forward and show positive and constructive facts is a country that grows and makes their neighbors grow.

Thanks to Ahora Bolivia, over half million people have been benefited by receiving relevant information that promotes a peace building culture, dissemination about human rights issues, promotion of cultural and art events and initiatives, as well as the participation in economic development actions such as productive, tourist and cultural fairs and several campaigns focused on the common good.
Initiative and campaigns spread and support by Ahora Bolivia, such as “A Goal for a Smile” (wining initiative in 2010 Changemakers challenge) Coexist Seed of Peace (campaign aimed at a peace culture supported by the United Nations in Bolivia) Misiones Project (Jesuitical Mission in Bolivia, worldwide destination) among others, have been successful initiative and have been acknowledged by public institutions (town halls, municipalities) as well as by private and civil institutions, thus generating an impact, public opinion flows and social mobilization.
What is your projected impact within the next 1-5 years? Is your idea replicable? If so, how?
The impact within 2 years is to position at large scale as “the media focused on good thinks in Bolivia” being a leader in the generation of positive opinion and a reference name in terms of decision making processes in political, social and civil issues regarding citizen participation, tourism, culture and development.
This idea can be applied in other countries and out vision, once the impact planned within 2 years, is to develop Project similar to Ahora Bolivia in other countries, within the aim of promoting development and good news in the whole continent.
