bookBgone is a socially responsible, environmentally proactive, book-loving, LLC. We pick up unwanted books & redistribute to food banks, community centers, art & literacy programs, troops & veterans, prisoners, schools and day care centers, half-way houses, houses of worship etc.

About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

All too often, we have heard no one 'takes' unwanted books, and have seen them discarded in the trash. It occurred to us that that wasn't right -- there were plenty of people who want and can use books!

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

Amazingly, we found that it is next to impossible for an individual to give books a second life. Most people are encouraged to throw them away. Libraries are inundated with cast-offs and millennial generation is more interested in e-books than hard copies. But these books have value We help those who no longer want or need their books to place them with those who do. we have picked up & processed hundreds of thousands of books. We sort them & search for appropriate homes, including charter schools, community centers & organizations, disaster relief programs, literacy programs - nationwide. We bundle same subject books such as kids, nonfiction, how-to, pre-natal, etc. and make meaningful contributions to the book-hungry.
