Many different cultures coexist all over the world an it seems that one of the main keys to expand the real peace is to create more familiarity and effective communication between these cultures. Internet is a free global platform for sharing information in this field but focusing on a particular issue is not that simple. In other word, the main part of a culture should be sought in people's daily lives and may not be accessible as such from internet or official resources and also is in danger of disappearance. So, an essential step forward to gather this part of culture and heritage of the world and providing a very simple and effective way to access proper information and resources has been under consideration in an online massive player game platform (woc.charkh.com). In this initiative competition, exploring different cultures, participating in an exciting online massive player game, passing from virtuality to reality, making different friends from different cultures, promoting different viewpoints of various cultures and sub-cultures, sharing information from world?s spectacular sites, people?s behavior and adventures, sense of a borderless earth, making virtual trips to anywhere in the world, having access to a growing database of worlds culture and heritage are the main devices to reach to real peaceful planet. This game is planned based on people?s individual knowledge of their own cultures and also their enthusiasm to make friends and communicate with other people. These two are combined with an endless algorithm of an exciting competition in a live game.

Description of innovation:

Motivating different people from completely different cultures using a very simple to use, available and cheap tool, internet, is the main goal of this initiative. An attractive competition through a live game using player?s own knowledge in a very effective interface is the key point of this innovation. Unlimited resources of information and infinite model of the game shall make this idea to grow continuously. Sharing user?s knowledge and using IT tools is not a new innovation but combination of these with cultural materials based on an impressive scenario of a game can be introduced as the innovation of this initiative. Target of this idea are all peoples of the world with any level of education and from any social class. This game is such designed to have a very simple, attractive and user friendly interface to cover different interests of users and of course is free to join. You don?t need any initial knowledge and contacts with others but you get connected and learn about different cultures as long as you are an active player in this game.

Delivery model:

This initiative strongly depends on quantity of users and quality of engagement. There are some key factors to deliver this idea to all potential audiences. Prizes, Events, Excitement of the competition, attraction of finding real peoples in a virtual platform are some of the principles which should be considered during development of this project. For all those people who are looking for special and not popular resources of cultural information, this game can play role as a main source, so, usual methods of IT advertisements are a suitable way of introducing this idea to the target. Introduction of this project to related state organizations like tourism and culture ministries, international related organizations and NGOs are an operative way of expansion of delivery methods.

Key operational partnerships:

This idea is not completely dependent on official partnership as its database will be shaped and grown by its users. Though, any related official organizations even individuals, might be effective to complete and enrich the platform in order to reach the desired objectives, basically, this project stands on the knowledge of founders and users. One of our strategies to make this program more efficient is to establish connections between online open source data providers in this field like ?Wikipedia? and its satellite websites. Google is one of the other potential partners as provider of free services such as Google map and search engine. Both partners will be benefited from this cooperation. We refer players to these online resources to get information they need and increase their level in game and in return we enrich the program with third party data sources. As one of our goals is to turn virtual travels into real travels, all state official organizations of tourism and culture are major potential partners we will look for. Academic departments, international cultural & human heritage organizations such as UNESCO are also targeted. Children and young generation are one of our target groups. We believe that mutual understanding between cultures and achievement of real peace in their world depends upon proper knowledge of children and young generation from various cultures. So, UNISEF and other children educational organizations might be other potential partners.

This program needs to have financial resources because of design costs, maintenance and development, invitation of users, cultural resource supplement, control and correction of players? resource entries. Related advertisement, getting sponsorship, affiliation of related organizations, donations and travel agencies supports are some of financial resources anticipated for this program.

This project is standing on individual financial resources at the start up. But for all mentioned requirements in the previous section, we need to draw attention of all potential partners to predefined development steps. One of the goals is turning virtual travels into reality and defiantly this could be one of the major methods of financial sustainability.

Expansion plan:

This project is based on two main issues: Users and Information. Expansion plan for upcoming years is based on growth in Users and Cultural Information. Users are invited into the system by current users and global advertisement methods. Because of the attraction of an online live game and game design information is circulated continuously in the system between the users. So, we estimate of having a large quantity of users and cultural information year by year. Cultural information communication between users shall be realized successfully when many new connections happen through the game process and virtual connections turn into reality. The expansion strategy is based on these parameters and we will tune the direction on the way forward by measuring these parameters. We have a predefined parameter growth table that is used to manage this program.

Origin of the initiative:

This idea began from a personal experience in cultural contact in a foreign country. We are four people who have had the same experiences in our journeys. We understand that our judgment about other cultures and people?s lives is usually based on a limited and uncompleted knowledge. Only during such trips we could reach to real & correct information. This was the main reason which inspired us to think of a virtual traveling ability. Even all those people who can?t have a real travel can experience such experiment in a virtual environment and share their knowledge about their own culture with others. Everybody who wants to introduce his/her own culture in a better and more real way, can use this virtual environment. Also, many wars and violence between civilizations might be calm down by establishment of a proper atmosphere for getting knowledge from other peoples and cultures.
