The Story
What is the origin of this innovation? Tell us your story.

I have been working on anti human-trafficking activities for about 4 years in Canada, Vietnam, China, Cambodia and Jamaica and I decided that FACEBOOK would be the perfect social network to find like minded persons and discuss the issue of human trafficking. As interest and membership in the Cause and Group increased, I realized that numerous people wanted to help in the struggle against human trafficking. Many people wanted information on the issue and needed support on the matter. We are still at the beginning of our initiative but we hope to steadily increase our awareness and fund raising activities.

Emphasis of Work

Prevention.

FACEBOOK is an international forum and as such can assist in the education and prevention at both the destination and origin country. It is our hopes to facilitate a common space for people to discuss the issue of human trafficking, which ultimately ensures that people are less likely to fall victim to trafficking ploys and deceits.
