Innovation
What is your signature innovation in one sentence?

Ecology for children wrapped in a beautiful and fascinating adventure.

Describe your innovation. What makes your idea unique and different than others doing work in the field?

So far we haven’t come across a game for children, which would teach ecological behavior in a discreet seamless way.

What barriers exist that are creating the problem your innovation is hoping to address/change?

The game was created with children in mind. The subject of the game is really the main barrier in reaching the audience who live in a consumerist world. Kids often reach for other types of games which provide entertainment without any educational value.

Delivery Model: How do you implement your innovation and apply it to the challenge/problem you are addressing.

The game has been published commercially in many countries and has reached a significant number of players.

How do you plan to scale your innovation?

We would be happy to meet a possible increasing demand for ecological games and develop new products for children, as long as we are able to get appropriate funding.

Impact
Provide one sentence describing your impact.

We hope that our game has contributed to heightening the awareness of children in regard to environmental pollution and the need to protect natural en

What impact has your innovation had to date? Exactly who are the beneficiaries of your innovation?

The game is dedicated to children ages 6-12 years. Its main goal is to make young people aware of the environmental pollution problems and the need to recycle. The condition of our planet is influenced by each one of us. The sooner people realize this, the greater the chance to make everyone feel responsible for the natural environment and the need to look after it. The world is a direct beneficiary here.

How many people have you served directly?

The game was published in many countries. It difficult to say how many people exactly have bought our product. We believe that the range is in tens of thousands of copies.

How many people have you served indirectly?

The closest families and friends of the children who play our game are indirect beneficiaries. Through game related discussions and joined participation in the game-play, our message reaches far more people than just the game owners. It’s very hard to estimate the number of indirect beneficiaries, but our informed guess would be in hundreds of thousands.

Please list any other measures reflective of the impact of your innovation

What are the main barriers to creating your impact?

Children games are usually based on the characters from popular animated movies or cartoons. We have created our heroes from scratch. Publishers are not eager to invest new and untested brands.

Sustainability
How is your initiative financed?

We are a small game developing firm dependant on the funds from our potential publishers. Most frequently we finance our games ourselves from the revenues produced by our earlier products.

Provide information on your finances and organization: annual budget, annual revenue, number of staff:

What is the potential demand for your innovation?

We think it’s enormous. Considering the great extent of environmental pollution and degradation of our Planet, each and every way of bringing people’s, and especially young people’s attention to important issues such as this one cannot be overestimated

What are the main barriers to financial sustainability?

When looking for funds needed to produce a game, it’s much easier to finance other types of games. Products related to ecology and similar issues are not, from a marketing point of view, products of greatest demand. For this reason alone convincing a potential publisher to invest in this type of game is very difficult.

The Story
What is the origin of this innovation? Tell us your story.

We wanted to make a game for children that in addition to being entertaining also get an important message across. Environmental protection is the subject in need of greatest attention. This is why our game has ecological overtone
