About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

Due to Rapid Population growth,World energy consumption increases from 524 to 630 quadrillion Btu in last 10 year(USEPA).80%World Energy comes from nonrenewable resources which produce GHG gases. there must be alternatives for Clean Energy resource which is Eco-friendly.Biomass is one of good option. Biogas production from human excreta which result GHG Gases reduction, Waste reduction and generation Carbon credit.It will solve Energy problem.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

Due to lacking of proper resources in India,668 million use animal dung, agricultural waste and fuel wood as fuel for their cooking in villages which result air pollution and health effect.Due to financial condition,here is no alternatives for them.So Proposed Solution provide the Cooking gas facilities in Villages, Slum area. Gas will produce from Bio gas using Human feces. In context with waste, a person produce 0.4-0.5kg/day & 1 kg of Human feces can produce the 0.4 m3 Biogas/day. 1m3 of biogas can give light as a 60-100 Watt bulb for 6 hours ,cook 3 meals for a family of 5 - 6 ,0.7 kg of petrol, generate,1.25 kilowatt hours of electricity. A small biogas can reduce 9.7 metric tons of CO2 & produce 100000 Rs/year carbon credit.

In India ,most of the Biogas is produced from Cow dung, biomass as fuel but this solution will utilize Cooking gas form biogas using as human feces. Most of project are utilized finance as self financed . Most of the projects will not cover the carbon credits .So this project will cover financial sources under the National Biogas scheme and the finance from Carbon Credits .So Primary activities will include identify the location of biogas with positive stack holder consultation. Than after, in project will cover the project design, feasibility and Financial support from government through subsidy . Than after successful project completion, it will apply for the Carbon credits.

In India,Small companies are available which mainly working in Biogas Design and Feasibility. Mostly Biogas produces from Cow dung, biomass as fuel but this solutions will utilize the Human feces as fuel for biogas production.Most of projects are not covered financially under the national programme on Biogas Distributed/Grid Power Generation.Mostly projects are not links with Carbon Credits. So this Solution will different interms of Financial sources and project design .

In India, 1901 year urban population was 11.4%total population and 2011 year urban population is 31.16% of total population.Urban population growth is 2.32% annually in year .Due to rise in Urban Development, Surrounding village are affected due to Urban area. So Village Population moves towards urban Area for better basic facilities .Due to availability limited resources, some area are not developed properly which result in slum area. In this area, there are number lacking of some basic facilities for . In this , people do not have some basic facilities like Sanitation,Cooking gases facilities, Drinking water, Water management. So it will create think to give some sustainable solutions which result to change their living condition.

In India ,412 million villages peoples have no access to electricity & 6.4 lakh villages live in rural areas continue to use animal dung,agricultural waste ,fuel wood as fuel for cooking which produce more GHG gases.There must be some alternatives .As per project Concern, Focus area is Villages, Slum Area where is the lacking proper basic facilities. People will engage through local NGOs and Local Government who working in Slum Area. It will help to improve their living and their basic need.It

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date and expected impact in the future?

Project will create positive impact on their living and livelihood . Project will create Social, Economical,and sustainable impact on stack holders .It will help to save 15000 -20000Rs/year for a single family (economical). A singlefamily size biogas plant substitutes 316 L of kerosene, 5,535 kg firewood and 4,400 kg cattle dung cake as fuels which will reduce emissions of NOx, SO(2), CO and volatile organic compounds to the atmosphere by 16.4, 11.3, 987.0 and 69.7 kg year,respectively (Sustainable) .From small Biogas plant ,it will create 8000-10000 Rs Carbon credits/year for a single family. Project will be monitored through Local village governance (Social). Local village Governance will coordinate through Local NGOs, Research Institutes and Government. Training programme will conducted to trained the local people for Biogas Maintenance & Management from Research Institutes

Scaling the Solution: How do you intend to scale your activities over the next two years (e.g., reach new markets, diversify solutions, etc.)? What will make this possible?

Any project successful completion depends upon the project execution.Project execution will depend upon the number of factors like financial support,project resources, project location,stockholder consultation. So in next two year, project solution will try to cover project activities.In two year,basic project execution like project design ,feasibility stockholder consultation will try to accomplish. After project design completion, financial from government scheme will take time to implementation.Than it will apply for Carbon credits after the project completion.It will help to achieve one thought into result of project through globally support.

Financial Sustainability: What is your business model to ensure financial sustainability?

In India, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy provides national programme on Biogas Distributed/Grid Power Generation Program me which contribute 40-50% subsidy on total costs of installation of bio gas plants in villages . Small Family Biogas will generate the 8000-10000 Rs/month credit which will sustain its financial sources.For a single family, project cost will be 7000-8000 month for 1 year which will revenues back through carbon credit.

There are no such a previous entrepreneurial experience regarding the projects but as being Environmentalist there are some experience project experience regarding the Biodiversity Conservation , Environmental Management, Climate Change, Carbon finance ,Environmental Impact Assessment ,Waste Management during the academic and professionalism. So this experience will help to success
