We base an acrobatic, drummer company with the goal of playing shows in Hungary with the help of our publisher partner. Youth will gain personal development in a community which offers creative work for a real goal. Rhythm and action are alluring enough to give new reason for lifechange to endangered youth.

About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

As in all over the World in Budapest there are plenty of children and youth living in hard circumstances. Without families or with broken families, suffering from violence, using drogs or alcohol. As an experiential education trainer I have met these problems very often and I have seen their needs: care, mentors, targets, feedbacks, trustable people around them, good examples and self-development.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

Solution: 1 complex idea and cooperation of 2 sectors: The idea is to create a community with an alluring aim, give joyful but continuous task for the members, work for concrete results. 1.NGOs (organiser included) build the community and deals with the member’s personal development: We give the idea and mentors: membership is choosen by the youngsters, but it is conditional.It is a privileg to belong to it.The set target is only reachable if members are cooperative and learn insistence,trust and self-trust, awareness,self-restraint helped by mentors 2.Business partners ensures the marketability of the product: professionals give lessons,the publisher partner promotes the show and helps to create an alluring and salable product

Idea: Creating a group of endangered youth practicing acrobatics and drumming weekly,creating a show together selling the show;keep this work going.Actions:applying for membership, cooperating;creating;practicing;preparing for the show.Impacts:they get a community;get real goal, are motivated to work for it;for that they will need:cooperative attitude,responsibility,insistence.To create the show together they develop in creativity and enterprenourship.These competences are essentials for their life.The difference is that in the same time endangered youth get motivation and idea for what to do in their freetime,get self-development,get success and profession, possibility to work,and all of these results generates lifestye-change.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

This kind of initiations are welcomed in Hungary, the local government and civic representatives willingly support them. The project itself gets nown by Aktív Egyesület, Youth institutes and associations, foster-homes and schools in Budapest, Gold Record Ltd., and individual partners. The channels are personal and professional relationships, social media, youtube and own webpages. During the period of selection we spread the application info by other NGOs too. The show itself will be promoted by the same way, and by national media: Radio-TV, Local entertainment-booklets, national online programmeguides and by the place that gives home to the show. Out of the planned spread strategies we count on requests from journalists of magazines to tell about the project.
Sustainability

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

There are several NGOs and state institutes who are dealing with youth problems. The main difference is that we offer a possibility to belong somewhere freely, where it is a privileg to belong. Most of other solutions are very important, but mandatory or therapy-kind solutions. So youngsters cannot feel the freedom and cannot step out from the label "not normal, problematic". Otherwise music and rhythm makes free the mind and acrobatics helps dealing with energy. Still, we want to give a goal, so they will not only belong to a team and enjoy playing, but they will work for a common aim for long-term. Self-supporting is highlighted: the show is able to sell itself after the pilot-period. These benefits together make spectacular different from usual projects.
Team

Team

The ideal team is where every party works acoording to his/her profession or expertize. In this project each of us will take part considering our limitations and mainstays. Aktív Egyesület organizes the whole project and have the main line of the idea as a playreader. Institutes and foster homes will help to call for participants. The Gold Record Ltd. is taking part in promotion and product selling, Imre Mózsik drummer will teach rhythm and drums, Oliver Ott acrobatics teacher will teach acrobatics, Élményakadémia will help in the personal development of the group. The secret is that each of us gets a valuable result out of the project, so we have to phase our visions, interests, our possibilities/limitations, and we have to learn each other. To be able to work together we also have to develop ourselves, being flexible and open.

Impacts for youngsters: they will start to be responsible for themselves, so they surely will take their future more serious. They will become good examples for others. In long-term they get a continuous help to change lifestyle.
Impact for Aktív Egyesület: apart from personal impacts the association grows and gets new experiences, reputation and new partners.
The drummer/acrobatics teacher's impact: getting more notoriety and personal impacts, e.g.: learn tolerance, understanding and practicing new approaches while teaching drums/acrobatics.

Sustainability Plan: Has your project already reached financial sustainability? If not, what is this solutio’s plan to ensure financial sustainability? Do the main partners have enough stake to sustain the solution? If this project requires limited budget, how will other resources be secured to maintain or grow this work?

The project is in stage of planning together with business partners youth institutes and NGOs.In the coming 1 months we create all the needed posters and calls and start to promote them until July. In July we start the selection until august. In August the team's work is starting. The show's date is spring, 2015. Our supporters are committed to help us in this project both with intellectual and financial way.
They help us personally: In the promotion part with editing, printing, appearance in media. In the selection part and the practicing part we get help in using chambers for free.In the practicing part we get help -also equipments-from the acrobatics teacher Olivér Ott, and our drummer partner Imre Mózsik.
Financially we get help from individuals (in the present) and complementary financing by applying for grants. (future)
After the pilot period the project will be self-supporting.

Team
Founding Story: Share a story about the "Aha!" moment that led the Partners to get started and/or to see the potential for this to succeed.

The Aha moment for each partners were the moment of discovering the idea's complexity. All partners commended about the idea to connect these 3 goals: personal development for endangered youth, building a community that acts along creating something together, and the strong possibility of self-supported working.
All partners had a vision how this project will support their individual goals, that are: personal moral satisfaction, growth of reputaion, new partners - new cooperation possibilities. Our lead business partner finds investment opportunity in the production that we will create.

About the Co-Creation
Barriers: What main barriers may you have encountered to co-create during the creation and implementation of the project and how did you try to overcome them?

We count on some barriers and we are in the stage of planning and measuring with partners.
1. Time and timing: As we all are working, we have to organize everything well in advance and planning together the timing as well. We have to be flexible but the project's timing has to be consistently puntual.
2. We have to find common language and agree on methods during the whole project, so we need an outsider supervisor. For this we choose a coach-supervisor.
3. We have to count on unpredictable. The solution is to solve the situation with objectivity and cooperation.

Governance: What is the type of the relationship between the partners? (e.g. joint venture, contractual relationship, joint project...)

Aktív Egyesület's relationship to:
- Élményakadémia NGO: Erika Schmidt (general manager of Aktív Egyesület) is member of Élményakadémia since 2008.We have several projects yearly togehter.
- Oliver Ott, Imre Mózsik, Gold Records Ltd: personal relationships
- Planned partners related to the youngsters: Belvárosi Tanoda (special school) Rákospalotai Leánynevelőintézet (criminalized and endangered girls home), Jóvá Tett Hely (retrieval institute for criminalized youth) other youth institutes.

We all work together as cooperative partners, and we make a framework agreement.

Interaction model: How is the project a transformative partnership? How is the interaction transforming the partnering organizations and their employees/ leadership in terms of creating a new vision, new management practices, new skills and new organizational structures? Between Aktív Egyesület and:
- Élményakadémia: The two NGO strenghten each other's skills in this project as complementers.
- Youth institutes (planned partners): As using new cooperation model, assosiations will learn how to be in close cooperation as public and state institutes. They learn non-formal education methods, we learn formal working theories.
- Imre Mózsik and Oliver Ott: They can learn how to deal with youth who are not socialized as others, so they can use these experiences in their further work in teaching.
- Gold Record: This company is a pioneer in coworking in Hungary. They will learn how to cooperate, what values and resources they have and can share without any loss, and they will see how coworking and even voluntary work appeals appreciation and further potencial clients.
Aktív Egyesület learns how to work with such a different crewmembers with success.
