Actually I was inspired by Asian countries, as they have given education a very great significance and thus, they had some of the best countries in the world in terms of economies, education and sustainable development even if they don't have natural resources.
If we go earlier a bit in their history, we would see that combating the high rate of illiteracy was their biggest concern, as they thought how illiterate people can benefit their country and contribute to the national economy. And from my own perspective, I do agree with this strategy, as people is the real and renewed wealth to any country.
I do believe that working individually or with my group only would not be sufficient to get rid of illiteracy, thus, I would like to have some partnerships with other initiatives working on the same issue from different cities and zones especially in villages, as we will be training their teachers and trainers and then give them the responsibility to work on our behalf.
Also I would like to grow the spirit of responsibility towards education in youth, so they can feel that education is the strongest weapon we can have to combat all problems we face currently, and to better our economic and social situations.
Finally, reaching to a specific number set before within a year is considered to be a scale on which we can measure our success and to which level did we fulfill our goals!!
Begin working with our targeted group/finish all logistics and administrative issues
Complete official registration
Get the sufficient funds
Organize our team/ Choose our volunteers
Reach to a specific number of beneficiaries
Contacting the local community and asking them for logistic help
Train the local teachers and volunteers
Get the sufficient help and funds
Sign partnerships with different NGOs to widen our work
Train and qualify the NGOs trainers
Provide them with the apt tools and needs
As we begin, overcoming the very beginning challenges and obstacles will be the main and the very essential success points we can measure our progress with.
Also reaching to the planned number of beneficiaries within a year will be considered as an optimistic and outstanding point. Moreover, publicizing our initiative in all Yemeni cities will be our main aim of the initiative in order to cooperate and unite together for combating illiteracy and boosting economic empowerment.
Making a noticeable change in the illiteracy rate in Yemen and playing a significant role in the entire educational process while maintaining beneficiaries' economic empowerment are our high goals which we do really want to see in the long term of our initiative's establishment.
Based on our success scale and points, we will be having a logical and measurable way to find our path. Moreover, societies' response towards our initiative and what does it offer for them is a very crucial factor we have to rely on.
On the other hand, we do have to focus on the economic and social consequences provided by our beneficiaries after their graduation and what impact did they bring to their local societies.
We are having a very transparent selection process, based on picking outstanding university volunteers with special criteria and qualifications in order to contribute actively in the initiative as well as gaining the needed experience simultaneously.
Leadership will be given to members based on the outstanding performance for the project, as well as their general treatment with different members and beneficiaries.
Then, selection will be maintained through a transparent voting process from the selected candidates.
As we don't have any steady or sustainable income for the project, we will be depending on the sponsors for the first year at least. After that, we will be establishing some micro-projects such as internet cafes and shops in order to maintain our sustainability and continuance.
