We are building educational ecosystem for educators who appreciate the talent of each student.  We are growing teacher generation who can realize their creative potential who are bringing innovative solutions to their schools and holds micro-projects in their schools.

About Project

Problema: ¿Qué problema está tratando de abordar este proyecto?

Ukraine's education system ranks on 83d place in HDI. If to dig deeper, we can see that enrollment of children is high but we performing poorly in areas where the use of knowledge matters: management of schools; business has low access to R&D; collaboration between education institution is on the poor level. Moreover, we have still high percentage of youth unemployment. The root of the problem is that our educational system stuck in XX century.

We believe that all roads lead to people. Educational system won’t change without changes in every person. We decided to transform our approach to education by shaping Education Center - think tank that connects educators, parents, children, business and society leaders and government in order to implement innovations in education and bring societal changes. Our activities: - learning programs for teachers - we explore innovative learning methods and master soft skills. - micro-projects in schools - every educator who joined our program is encouraged to bring innovative solutions to his or her school and implement micro-project there. - R&D - we developing new ideas and implement them.

Impact: How does it Work

Main beneficiaries of our activities are: - teachers of Ukrainian schools. They don’t see their role as a key role for democratic and successful development of the country. We want to suggest them such perspective by learning program where they are gathering twice a week to learn from experts and each others, to share their experience and implement micro-projects at their schools. - parents - though development of teachers and suggesting new educational approaches we impact each child and his/her development. - children - need another competencies to be active and successful citizen in 21st century. Through our activities we start to ensure such opportunity for children - using blended learning model, project based education etc.

Impacto: ¿Cuál ha sido el impacto del trabajo hasta ahora? Asimismo, describa el impacto previsto en el futuro para los próximos años.

We are acting for half a year and our impact so far includes: - 30 children who have experienced learning by doing on our pilot blended-learning courses; - 10 teachers who become change agents and re:invented education together with us; - 30 teachers who are engaged into learning program and planning to implement micro-projects in their schools. We want to scale up for the next year we have planned to move to 9 more cities in Ukraine, engage schools into our works and step by step shape educational ecosystem within the country.

Estrategias de Expansión: Avanzar, qué son los estrategias principales para ampliar su impacto?

Basically, we want to help every teacher to realize their creative potential. During 1 year we aim to: - launch 9 educational programs for teachers in Lviv, Kyiv, Odessa, Kharkiv, Chernivtsi engaging more than 200 teachers and raising 50 scholarships for teachers from rural areas; - form community of teachers through educational forum in Lviv in November 2015 (300 people engaged) and co-events with educational NGOs, organisations, schools; implement educational initiatives and programs of the Center in schools starting from autumn 2015 - totally 2600 children engaged.
Sustentabilidad

Plan de Sustentabilidad Financiera: ¿Cuál es el plan para asegurar la sostenibilidad financiera de esta solución?

We move to a social enterprise where hybrid model will be used: 50% of the general budget covered by participants of the programs (though we plan to give scholarships as we already do in all of the programs launched so far); 33% - partnerships with corporate sector, philanthropists; 17% - grants and funds cooperation. So far our main goal is to ensure our sustainability for the nearest year.

Mercado: ¿Quién mas está abordando el problema aquí descrito ? ¿Cómo difiere el proyecto propuesto de esos enfoques?

Many educational NGOs and private institutions operate in Ukraine. The main problem is that they work independently from each other and don't have a space and platform for cooperation, development and system transformation. We need systematic long-term approach for development of the Educational Center for cooperation, programs development,research and execution and educational opportunities for key participants - teachers - creation. Such R&D Center is still missing in Ukraine.

Historia fundacional

The story started 1,5 year ago when idea of importance to do something with education have came to the mind. After having passed course on Corsera about Blended Learning we decided that Ukraine must be one of the leading country in terms of driving educational innovations and people development. Our team that consist of 5 people started to think how we may make our impact on education that all of us are keen on. The first thought was about launching blended learning courses for children with their further spread to other cities and implementation to educational institutions of Ukraine.... and that's was the begiining of the story :)

Yulia Barannikova - head of NGO ON TIME. Alumni of NGO AIESEC in Ukraine (vice president of external relations). Woked in Kyiv-Mohyla Business School. Liliya Borovets - works with international cooperations and partnerships in the project. Studies international law and is a student of Lviv Business School at Ukrainian Catholic University at MS Innovations and Entrepreneurship. Vice-curator of Global Shapers Lviv Hub, alumni of NGO “AIESEC in Lviv”. adiya Mykhalevych - works with product development and marketing in the project. Studies media and communication in Lviv Catholic University. Alumni of AIESEC in Lviv, was vice-president of talent management in AIESEC Lviv. Khrystya Boiko - works on recruitment and stakeholders management in the project. Ex-president of student NGO "Enactus", Master of Economics and Law. Dzvinka Zavaliy - works with educational flow of teachers and its development. Currently prepares educational program for preparation of teachers of new generation. Alumni of AIESEC in Lviv, was vice-president of project management of AIESEC in Lviv.
