Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

There is a critical economy condition for cinema in Afghanistan as there is no market for. Besides, most of female filmmakers are in trouble of Internet services using.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

Encourage online shopping and providing a platform where films and art works can be sold. There an oversaturated market for the art within the borders of Afghanistan. The project will allow Afghan filmmakers, photographers, artists and musicians the opportunity to market and sell their works online. Not only will this allow them to experience business growth, but our financial well-being on a national scale will also increase and train women how to sign up and participate for online shopping to obtain incomes and continue their art works.
Impact: How does it Work

We develop www.media.af website support Afghan artists financially and help Afghan artist women about E commerce services. Collect art works from artists, evaluate quality of work as world standard, edit as excerpt (package of films and musics) photo in small size and uploading with artist biography and film script on website. During the process Female artists are being trained the procedure of art works E commerce to get benefit by online marketing. To connect the appropriate international marketplaces, we market by social media, printing advertisements and holding events.

About 150 artists women will reach large audiences, irrespective of location buyer or seller’s location and able to continue their own projects by getting financially benefits of E commerce as they can invest for their future art works by selling their art works on online media marketing. Besides, will be able to connect international markets and make contacts with their international counterparts and increase their visibility as recognized international artists. As well as it increases artists and national incomes, it makes them outstanding.

As well as this project will help artist women to increase their knowledge of using Internet services and incomes from copy rights of their art works, they will be able to continue cinema online marketing as business partnership. We (Momtaz Host) and artists will be partners to continue the online market place as there is a need in Afghanistan cinema.

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

This is only the project which supports Cinema online Marketing and women accessing the knowledge of creating private account and supervising on. Actually most of women(Artist women) face problem using Internet services. We hold training program for them to learn how to use our online marketing to connect world markets and get benefits from their art works to make their art works continuously.

We love working on innovative projects and provide online system. As well as I am a filmmaker and photographer, I know what challenges filmmakers and artists involved. Female filmmakers and artists have specific challenge of social customs and believes. I have made three films about women am not able to screen in Afghanistan as I have promised for my films female characters. My characters just accept my film request when I promised to not screen the films in Afghanistan. As well as all filmmakers and photographers who have Afghan women in their subjects have this problem. Besides, the other challenge we face there is no market in Afghanistan for films and arts.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date?

- Media Virtual Marketplace will allow female filmmakers, photographers, artists and musicians the opportunity to market and sell their works online. Not only will this allow them to experience business growth, but our financial well-being on a national scale will also increase.
- Artist women will learn knowledge of internet services which increase number artist women to develop their economy and art works.
- There will be a real image of Afghans and Afghan women life.
- There will be an enriched cinema and art with lots number of women artist in Afghanistan in five next years.

Barriers: What barriers might hinder the success of your project and how do you plan to overcome them?

This project is a different project in Afghanistan and difficult using for women. The population of Afghanistan is 26 million and 2 million of them have access the internet but increasing day by day. There is no connection between Afghan cinema and arts and international media, film industries and marketplaces. So this project should be introduced with a comprehensive marketing among afghans and international media, manage connecting Afghan cinema and international cinema and art and support artist women using this opportunity by trainings.

Almost 150 Afghan artist women will be introduced to international cinema and will learn quality of world standard (the number will be increased day by day).
They will be qualified for world cinema and art works to develop their international contacts and future art works.
They will be independent artist to create their innovative project by earning incomes.
