Year founded
Impact: What is the impact of the work to date?

The pilot phase targeted 20 beneficiaries back in 2006 and they are successful. It must be mentioned that each beneficiary earns more than $1000 per month compared to none each month. Athar these days is organizing with the American Embassy in Yemen to set a show room to sell the products of the 20 beneficiaries.

Barriers: What barriers might hinder the success of your project and how do you plan to overcome them?

The only barrier is the country's political and security status, as it held the organization and beneficiaries from progressing. Yemen is part of the Arab Spring.

Full Impact Potential: What are the main spread strategies moving forward? (Please consider geographic spread, policy reform, and independent replication/adoption of the idea or other mechanisms.)

Athar is planning to move this idea after its pilot phase to the rest of 21 governorates within the country as first, then regionally in the MENA region.

Improve the funding mechanisms to have establish Businesswomen Club.
