Nadia Sandi is currently the Ashoka‘s Changemakers Director of Integration, after leading the Project Management team since April 2010 in Washington, D.C. Here Nadia oversaw the execution of Changemakers innovation sourcing competitions & team, and as part of Changemakers‘ management team, contributed to the development and implementation of growth strategies and partnerships. In her new capacity, Nadia will design, manage and coordinate different cross-Ashoka projects. Prior to joining Ashoka, Nadia worked with the World Bank, promoting Private sector development in Sub-Saharan Africa , and the International Finance Corporation and in the private business consulting and investment banking sectors, as well as an educational entrepreneur in her native Morocco. Nadia is a graduate of the American University “Al Akhawayn”, Morocco and George Washington University in Washington, D.C. As the President of Al Akhawayn's Hand in Hand Association, she led the organization's shift towards long-term education-based development in the Middle Atlas region, as well as supported women economic empowerment initiatives.
