Nevertheless, not all candidates are fortunate enough to receive the training and empowerment required to obtain their dream jobs.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

The solution is to create programs which compliment the existing education system. Provide necessary training to individuals and offer them a network base from which they can interact with potential employees and/or business partners.

Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

The program will involve setting up of a curriculum and outlining of a learning curve for prospective candidates, recruitment of candidates (starting with a small number of about 20 candidates) who meet a set criteria, recruitment of experts from established institutions with expertise in academia, human resources and entrepreneurship, induction sessions, the program launch and measurement of key performance indicators.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

The impact will be measured mostly quantitatively, but also qualitatively. Data will be collected throughout the program and based on a set of KPI's (key performance indicators) and projects objectives such as increasing the number of employed graduates and new startup business. Once progress is made recruitment of candidates will increase and business will be expanded through partnerships.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

The project will begin in one city and based on progress, expand to other cities. Once the impact is notable throughout the nation in a few years, then the project will seek further partnerships and expansion in neighboring countries such as Kenya, Uganda, South Africa and so forth.

Team

Founding Story

I had an opportunity to interview a few candidates for a job opportunity at my previous job and was shocked by how long some of them were looking for employment, how knowledgeable some were and how much confidence some lacked. I knew that it was my obligation to make the situation change.

The team will be made up of experts in various fields such as human resource, entrepreneurship, academia, corporate social responsibility, marketing and motivational speakers.
