Project Summary
Elevator Pitch

Concise Summary: Help us pitch this solution! Provide an explanation within 3-4 short sentences.

The industrial hemp is the universal agriculture plant. It could be used for paper, medication and food. There is no other plant on the planet Earth that has more than 200 different ways to use and at the same ti

WHAT IF - Inspiration: Write one sentence that describes a way that your project dares to ask, "WHAT IF?"

What if instead of trees we massively start using the hemp to produce paper and organic plastic? How good the world could turn?
About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

The problem that we are trying to solve is to implement a plant that before 100 years was massively used. That plant will absorb CO2 and at the same time will provide paper, oil, food and even material for the fashion industry. In that case most of the forest will be untouched and that is how we will safe "the planet's lungs".

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

The solution is to grow more than 100 hectares of industrial hemp in Bulgaria because it is allowed to. To harvest it with a special equipment and processes it for the fabrics inside the stalk. On top of that, the government is proving subsidies for every 10 kg of processed hemp, which will be re-invested for expanding the land. We can turn the hemp in a ubiquitous plant just like wheat, corn etc. Also the seeds of the hemp could be used for cattle feed or for oil. And the leftovers could be used for biofuel production. The best is that every single part of this plant can be used for any kind of sustainable purpose.
Impact: How does it Work
