Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

Meet Emmanuel he is 11 years old, he farms with his dad and sells yam tubers for his mother in a remote village.he is the first of four children,MiF got to meet emmanuel and other children alike after their village was displaced by flood resulting from excessive rainfall not to mention their proximity to the niger river. The MiF team after taking permission from the government recruited about 300 men, women and children to the Stadium as our IDPs camp.not long we noticed something spectacular about Emmanuel' zeal to learn and his striking leadership qualities which prompted us to register him in a school almost immediately. Now he not only teaches his parents and siblings, but also gathers children to teach them what he had learnt in school.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

MiF have served as a source of hope to several communities of need from the inception of our "Friends Initiative" we love bringing together communities of resource with communities of need we have spanned several states delivering books to schools and libraries and also relief materials to internally displaced persons.MiF believes in the 17th SDG (partnership to achieve the SDGs) our future plan is to strengthen our work force in line with our "friends initiatives" which are long term partnerships with local churches, mosques, nonprofits and stakeholders who are committed to community transformation to further our goals we intend to build our "Hope Centres" across the 36 states in Nigeria and Africa where we teach especially young adults on vocational skills also include in-school student support, after school programs, job readiness training , home/school/library/hospital repairs.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

MiF will embark on a massive campaign to get less privileged children into school through partnerships and encourage industries to donate to our "Food Bank Programme" to feed the hungry and also provide amenities that will help people live a healthy and happy life thereby creating an enabling environment for especially children and youths to act as positive change agents to not just their immediate families but also to their communities and the world at large.we also set new records for charity."lets create the future we seek by nurturing the younger generation and bringing poverty to ZERO"
Sustainability

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

At MiF we love setting standards, breaking new grounds, attaining new highs is our thing we have fun Raising funds for charity through; *Art Exhibition *Auction *Dinner & cabaret *Book Sale *Car wash *Charity Ball *Children's Party *Football Tournament *Garage Sale *Karaoke *Marathon/walkathon *Pledges *Puppet Show *Windscreen Wash *Variety Show *Stage Play *Street Entertaining *Bus Pull *Board Games *Head Shave *Book Drives.

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

The World Bank and UNICEF; our method differs because we live amongst the people and we are aware of the issue and its origins, hence we know the necessary approach to bridge the gap from where the people are and where they want to be.Needless to say there are 2 types of poverty *situational poverty and *generational,we are especially focused on breaking the cycles of generational poverty while assisting caring and empowering people affected by situational poverty.

MiFs Community Development program (*engage *learn *grow) every 4 months MiF has open positions to participate in the community development leadership program and become a community partner where community partners receive a #20,000(Naira) stipend upon completion of a 10 week long community development leadership program, in addition to the stipend, interns are provided with dinner every Monday-friday and provided with MiF t-shirts, wrist bands e.t.c although housing is not provided by MiF.
