Mismatch between market demand and supply of skilled, innovative and futuristic human resources.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

Using the elderly skilled and experienced human resource to direct and mentor the upcoming generations to imagine, create and innovate an evolving, global world. This will help younger generations to not repeat the mistakes of their fore bearers, help use the immense knowledge base that our elders have and direct them towards the upcoming generations to help build a world that is evolving with direction rather than just mimicking and falling apart.

Impact: How does it Work

Imagine a student X of 8th /10th std having another decade of skill development left. X is then: 1. Made aware of individual potentials, talents and aspirations 2. Mapped to a mentor who guides about the respective fields with real time requirements, market trends and future demands. 3. Made to understand what a professional day in that field is like. This will help X make informed potential investment into self with absolute clarity and vision, reducing wastage of resources and with ultimate absorption and contribution to the economy.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

So far we have managed to reach over 4,000 people directly and 10,000 plus people through various mediums. We have already initiated a RAW fission process where all those who come across our service offerings, ideas and proposals are involved in someway with our objectives. We have managed to expand our services from primary school students to corporates in less than two years of operations. Our future plan is to start another dedicated channel to get involved, impacted or aware of possibilities and potentials for individual growth and development. The details of which are mentioned in the next answer below.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

1. Diversify teams to work on identified segments of - Schools, colleges, corporates and government institutions. 2. Deploy mentors and experts more effectively over social media 3. Make use of technology to make our basic services available to a larger audience at more economic costs. Aim to reach another 50,000 students in 2015-16.
Sustainability

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

So far we have been able to bootstrap and rotate our earnings. But now we are looking to bring in CSR or parallel fundings to make it into a fund that skills and gives entrepreneurial mentorship to aspirants so their revenues can in turn make the project for the lower economic class more sustainable. This is targeted to create model villages as examples with honing traditional inherited skills for today's economic demands.

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

NSDC and Indian govt is a highly resourceful and strong organisation but its vision limited to making skilled labour than skilled leaders. Just because we have man power, it doesnt mean we cannot have an innovative, aspiring skilled workforce with leadership qualities and accomplishments. And that is what makes RAW Dreams more ambitious and aspirational.

Founding Story

RAW Dreams is an outer projection of possibilities of daring to Dream and go against all odds. I have always come to value resources and looking at possibilities and solutions and I wanted to channelise this energy to reach to Billions around the globe. I found youth to be the most effective way to do that and thus started RAW Dreams in a friend's living room.

Team

Apart from the Founder, we have three levels of team members: 1. Chief Mentors: This is being headed by Prof. P.M. Shingi (ex IIM-A Dean) who has a global experience of over 7 decades. 2. The Experts: These are the freelance mentors that come on board based on the requirements giving us a lot of flexibility and expertise in our work. 3. The RAW interns: They are the driving force of young energy and passion who inspire more people like them to follow their passions and dare to dream.

Before this I have successfully created an events business revolving around youth and worked with other organisations on business development and resource deployment.

Beyond your existing team, who else are you working with to achieve your objectives, eg partners, advisors, mentors?

We have been getting a lot of parallel organisations and founders who believe in our mission and contribute to our dreams and goals. They all come from a variety of backgrounds bringing in lot of diversity and expertise challenging and improving us every step of the way.
