About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

The handling and load lifting is the main cause of lumbalgia an other musculoskeletal disorders. Ninenty por cent of seak leave for occupational injuries and disease are due to pathologies linked directly to the nature of jobs. This, in turn, increases costs that IRI and employers have to face. As there is no adaptation with access ramps in most points of sale in Córdoba, workers are either forced to make an extra effort repeatedly or In many

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

In order to avoid potential damage caused by loading and unloading tasks, a freight tool has been created to reduce the force levels necessary to perform the normal delivery in points of sale.

Awards

The proyect was presented as “a good idea” and became “good practice” in the supply area
Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

A two-weeled trolley has been developed into a single axed one with three-weels on each side, producing two support points and a third point as a stair climber, avoiding overstrain or repetitive efforts. In the same way, there is a possibility of attaching a pneumatic pedal to the axe so that the trolley could climb without any type of effort.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

-To reduce ergonomic risk due to loading and unloading -To reduce 47% of leave caused by lumbalgia directly related with the nature of the job -To reduce absenteeism levels -The effectuation of the distribution of goods process -Client refusal and complains reduction -To improve service presentation -To reduce company costs as they will not have to pay for seak leave or reeplacements, neither will IRI have premium increases due to accident rates -Costs reduction for IRI -A better worker’s life quality, prolonging working life and shifts reductions

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

The main spread strategy is to offer the trolley to other distribution companies so that it could be established as mandatory for loading and unloading tasks.
Sustainability

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

This proyect requires funding to build every trolley which will be borne by the employer company. Weel price will be taken into account as they are imported,( not made in Argentina), the price of the iron trolley, the assembly and final assembly also. The total workforce that is part of the permanent workers payroll distribution is taken into account

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

All logistics companies are addressing the same problem but they are using A two-weeled trolley
Team

Founding Story

While working as SRU in the logistics area of ABInBev company, we controlled that critical activities such as the control of 5S and security were performed properly. When we found a POC with stairs, we saw the overexertion made by workers to deliver an order and we thought to develop a tool which could make the effort itself in order to protect the worker
