Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

Our youth is illiterate& computer illiterate this would then make them unemployable this centre addresses these challenges faced by young people. They will now be able to have access to the internet,2 rand Wi-Fi services , self-development using basic accredited courses like poultry ,artisan and more . We will then recruit them into small manufacturing businesses and give them jobs while producing things using their new skills. We will have other services like business registration. We will host markets in all the surrounding town to make sure that the businesses and manufacturing made in the centre are known . we will help some of these young people into pra-proffestionals in domestic work, guarding services& other basic skills .

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

Help a student has been operating as a an NGO for 3 years which is now in a process of turning It into a hybrid so in this section will tell you more about the impact that the NGO has been doing hence we have not been able to find funds to do the necessary arrangements towards the starting and making of our profit side .More than 10 young people have graduated and are working in jobs; we have started distributing diaries designed by young people into surrounding schools .More than 100 young people registered to be part of the programme. more than 20 graduates have join the tutoring programme and now have an established tutoring company and we have sold more than 50 seed to different communities we have worked with 20 schools so far and more than 80% of the students are now in varsity. We have started producing vegetable gardens We have started business consultancy

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

Open more branches in South Africa and other African villages to make sure that young people in Africa can use their skills for money. to have established factories owned and operated but the centre but also to have the young people own shares and buy the franchise of the centre We want to equip at least employ at least 5000 youth are employed and working include government for more resources and be the biggest waste recycling company in south Africa make sure more than 50 % of the young people join the recruitment agency and are being trained by the company we want change for youth
Sustainability

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

we are already doing the agricultural project which then brings income into the project. we have membership fees for the business network we will start throwing events tat will also increase the cash flow seed bank will also assist fundraising has also started we want to supply DIARIES to schools and want to schools at a minimum price

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

youth for change has the same approach to development as we do but we believe that these young people should not only be trained in the social side but we should also focus on the other aspects such as poverty and self development we also emphasis on environmental issues and we feel that young people should have a place that will not only deal with the social problems but will give them a chance to make a decent living . we want to create a centre that will help these young people develop themselves we want to invest on higher education

Founding Story

the programme stared after seeing that fellow classmates were straggling to go to varsity ,after passing well and being admitted to varsity the was still a straggle so many things such as not being able to travel from home to the varsity, even getting a place to stay or money for fees . she then stated a educational programme called help a student this was an NGO. that supported these young people as time went by the was greater need to help the community as more young people were now idle and unemployed .crime rate was up and the rate of unemployment was high. we then started small business to put food on the table for thses young people with having a heart to help we did both things
