Share the story of the founder and what inspired the founder to start this project

Albert had DES during his youth and felt very unhappy with treatment and information conditions. That's why he founded Tears4You - to improve the things that annoyed him. He sees so much innovation in health-care that he wants to bring his work to the next level.

Social Impact
Please describe how your project has been successful and how that success is measured

Through the Sicca-NGO Tears4You we collaborated with around 5.000 patients and doctors to improve DES. Based on the feedback we compiled and implemented 10 initiatives to improve DES treatment and developed the diagnostic sicca-questionnaires ASK3 and ASK10.

We measure our success on the impact that we actually have/had. Around 500 persons have directly thanked us. On average 3 patients per day contact us via e-mail, that we help further. Up to 10.000 persons visit our homepage per month and find valuable and reliable information. But in the future we want to be more social and want to make people prouder.

The Global Health Project is designed to bring what we have learned to the next level and to be louder than before.
