Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.
Imagine a world where each of us be the directors of some social enterprises. We get dividends to support our living. We work with flexible working hours, e.g. attending meetings. Condition for workers shall be improved as they themselves have income source as directors of other social enterprises as well, i.e. they have more bargaining power. We are all shareholders and workers, working diligently to change the world with social goals.
As such, we shall have more time and resource in developing oneself and individual potentialities. A world of collaboration shall drive us forward by putting more effort in learning how to live with one another. Collaborative leadership shall be the competitive edge of collaborative social enterprise.
Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.
Both local and cross-country COLLABORATIVE SOCIAL ENTERPRISES shall be encouraged to form in LARGE SCALE in which ALL shall be included in the NEW SOCIAL ECONOMY.
People from diverse background shall form supportive teams in addressing local and global social problems while making profits to support their living.
Instead of looking for a hero or a big idea, we get together first. By so doing, we human being from different background learn to communicate and collaborate to fight for our common goals, facing our limits and problems and looking for possibilities together. Such connected teams of human being from diverse background shall collect immense human, financial, social and institutional capacity to push us forward for a better world.
Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?
When ALL people around the world can join COLLABORATIVE SOCIAL ENTERPRISES, the ecology of the present economic and social model will be altered. Individuals shall be connected with diverse background to nurture inclusivity and global citizenship.
Collaboration Initiatives International shall continue its support to train up collaborative leaders in promoting personal growth, interpersonal relationship and community building for a sustainable world.
Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?
The successful story of Grameen Bank on microfinance indicates that even small amount of loan to a small group of people may induce entrepreneurship of the underprivileged. The participation of a 100 changemakers from diverse background shall provide ample manpower and resource to ensure financial sustainability. They don't even have to pay loan interest!!!
Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?
We intend to face social problems through COLLABORATIVE LEADERSHIP + SOCIAL ENTERPRISE. While it is common in the new social ventures to identify the charismatic icon person to bring forth social changes, our model is to include ALL in forming collaborative teams to bring forth social changes.
Founding Story
Inspired by micro-financing of Grameen Bank, I wonder what if groups of people from diverse background to form a collaborative social enterprise. As there are no limits on investment, all can participate. Even one may not be rewarded financially, one still be recognized as "valuable" and be included as leaders. Marginalized people can join us and work together with others with mutual respect and equality.
Team
We are startup participatory organization from below. We hold regular activities like: reading circles, brainstorming activities and collaborative learning on open courses. We want to build teams through collaborative leadership training. We intend to connect each one of us as global citizen and build groups for each one of us. As we grow, trained collaborative leaders shall take up management of the organization.
