About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

1. Energy efficiency; 2. Energy independence; 3. Quality of food and its availability; 4. Lack of SMEs in my country.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

1.By up-grading the house into passive one energy efficiency would be increased; 2.By using RES the property would be energy independent from the national grid; 3.Food produced would be 100% organic and it would be available at reasonable prices due to low cost input; 4.Even though I work as an liaison officer in CEO office of NIS Gazprom Neft - the biggest oil company in my country, I strongly believe that entrepreneurship is spine of a healthy economy. Therefore, I would love to see my project as an example to my peers waking up entrepreneurial spirit within them.
Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

>>Production of indigenous species of fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy products<< Two fields and orchard around the house are available for the production. Some of the species would be produced out-door, where as some would be produced in a greenhouse which is to be built. Previously said, as well as the quantity (including animals), has to be determined not only with respect to theirs' profitability but also having in mind demand regarding ethno tourism. It is of immense importance to install irrigation system. The vicinity of the river is the advantage. Also, auxiliary facilities has to be built in advance where fruits and vegetables would be processed, as well as animal slaughtered. Retail of the products has been planned.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

Future impact: -It would extremely reduce amount of energy requested; -Production chain would be close looped, including fertilizers that would be of animal origin as well as irrigation system that would use water from river in the vicinity; -Retail would provide customers with organic products at reasonable prices due to low cost input; -It might be an example of entrepreneurship to others within my country. Also, I imagined it as a pilot project which might be a model to other agricultural properties across the Europe. I would be able to promote the project within the light of regional development in Brussels since I established numerous contacts there during my internship in the European Commission, DG Environment.

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

I intend to apply for the fund devoted to regional development and provided by the EU. Otherwise, I would have to go step-by-step making savings out of my current income which would require more years.
