Generally, expected outcomes include that smallholder farmers in the district will be able to access the organic food crops and revenue streams through the adoption of productivity enhancing practices and technologies. Hence, economic benefits will be based on increased yields and productivity. An important co-benefit will be enhanced resilience to climate variability and change.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?
The project will make sure that SALM practices are adopted through partnership with local authorities of Ngoma District (especially workers or officers in charge of extension in district) and in collaboration with Rwanda Agriculture Board and Ministry of Agriculture, and many other local development partners that are located in the district, working to ensure the achievement of food security in communities. Through this partnership, a certain number of meetings will be undertaken in the district to provide information, project progress on adoption of SALM practices.
Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?
The project owner, consultant and extension officer assisted by Funding boardies agents and Ngoma District Officers in order to facilitate direct contact with smallholder farmers, local partners in district will work together to lead the project into the operational setting. The major partners within the coordination effort for the implementation of quick response project would be, inter alia:

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?
The Ministry of Agriculture (MINAGRI) will be the government counterpart agency responsible for the project and will assist all consultants and experts in the performance of their assigned tasks. The government through Ngoma District will provide office accommodation and will facilitate access by the project personnel to official documents and meetings with government officials and the private sector.
Founding Story
In founding NGO,ROCHED willed to seek to contribute in initiatives aiming at fighting against malnutrition such as Presidential Initiative to Eliminate Malnutrition, District Plans to Eliminate Malnutrition, to name a few, through food security and nutrition programme, making sure higher food production, and greater access to primary health care services for the urban, rural poor and food and nutrition had gained prominence on the national development agenda as a prominent and foundational issue.
