Throw Me To The Right Place is an environmental education game that aims to raise awareness of waste issues and environmental sustainability. Where the application of this game teaches players to dispose of waste in the trash according to its type.

About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

Garbage becomes a big problem around the world nowadays. On September 7, 2009, in Jakarta, waste production reached 6,000 tons of waste per day. There are still many places landfills that mix all kinds of garbage. The public and private mandatory must sorting the garbage but this does not seem too concerned. Either because of inadequate disposal sites and communities that still lack awareness. It became one of the common cases today.

We wanted to take part in the growing self-awareness from an early age to design a game that targets individuals who will shape society in the future, the young generation through the fun way, video game. Where in this game. Players assume the role as the first person to be invited to dispose of waste in trash bin, but not carelessly dispose of waste in right trash bin, the waste should be disposed of are divided into four types, compost, paper, plastic and glass for its next processing, also this game show the impact of the garbage and show the brief information and fact about garbage and environment. Currently, this game only available on PC, We go directly to school and community to share this messages and engage kids to play this game.

Learning about environments using video game is effective to help children to understand the message to be given, because of the message that is given will be delivered in a fun way. Moreover, in Throw Me To The Right Place, by placing the player in a three-dimensional world with attractive graphics make players seemed to do it in real life and will be able to understand the concept of sort and dispose of waste in the right place. In the implementation itself, it takes several stages of learning, Children must be equipped with audio-visual-verbal as well as view and the current waste problems, then emphasized also that the individual is a solution to overco
