Anti-Women Illiteracy Campaign
After having realized that an alarming percentage of the Somali women population are illiterate, we have decided to organize afternoon classes in all our schools in Banadir and Lower Shabelle Regions in Somalia for girls and women who are functionally or completely illiterate with the intent to enable them:
YOPA is a community-based organization set up by a group of people from different backgrounds with a view to supporting the voiceless and the underprivileged people thruogh provision of basic needs, Education, Health care, Capacity building , Small economic initiatives, and Advocacy of human rights, with emphasis on public awareness creating on the plight of these destitude people who live in appalling conditions.
However the social and the economic problems facing these poor members of our society are so serious that we can not tackle them all alone. So, we would feel obliged if you would offer us assistance in improving these marginalized peopl’s lives and reducing their suffering whose largest goups include; impoverished families, beggars, street children, war widows, the disabled, abandoned children, orphans, ethnic minorities, children infected with HIV/AIDS and other social outcasts who have no place in their society.
We hope that we should take concerted action together to help these people as they are not able to help themselves.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Our greatest resource is the dedication of our teachers who resolved to serve the community as far as they can in education matters regardless of the insecurity and the economic hardship in the country at present.
In order for us to implement this worthwhile project. There are many priorities, but getting material, financial, technical and training assistance are of paramount importance.
It is obvious that it won’t be easy for us to put this project into operation all alone, and yet we are determined to make a success of it.
However, seeing the noble worthy work you have done in the globe, we do hope you would appreciate our intended campaign against women illiteracy and lend us a helping hand in this hour of need.
