New Beginning is a private psychological clinic for distorted people who lose their passion of life because of the others mistake. This psychological clinic will provide them support, therapy, and skills training.

About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

Yemen is a big and rich country that seeks to achieve strong economy, but one main problem is the weakness of healthcare industry. Since the last three years there were a lot of civil wars happen around Yemen and who really affects by it, are innocent people. What government is focusing in is psychical recovery and how to reduce the number of wars dead but never think about people`s emotions and psychological parts of being distorted.

To provide psychological support and training for Yemen`s war victims who is looking for a chance to get involve in community again.

New Beginning will provide the wars victims with therapy, support, and skills training. for example, if a person was thinking about one field to follow and lose the ability to be in that field again, new beginning will support him/her psychologically to find new passion in life and function normally as a normal person. for this idea i have been taking psychology classes and do full project about interviewing in psycho path and define the problem to be solved smoothly with privacy.

My people are the war victims. In Yemen there are little like The Asian Association of Social Psychology (AASP), Asian Professional Counseling Association, and World Health Organization (WHO).

Idea

Founding Story: What inspired your venture? Why?

My uncle was an electrical engineer which was the best thing in his life, and he was full of life and energy. One day a missile hit him while he was setting in his room and hurt him in all of his body. After three years my uncle could walk and speak but his response to events was slow, he has depression, lose the passion of life, feeling involve and important. My uncle can`t work as an electrical engineer anymore because there were some pieces of the missile inside his head that can`t be taking off, so he stays at home and nobody even think about the consequences of his buried feelings.

Goals

What do you want to accomplish in your first year?

To have a working team of psycho therapist and administrations. Start to look for wars victims to talk and define their main psychological problem.

talk and interviewing to the war victims and analyse their main problem.

do workshops for them to engage them in the therapy process.

try to provide an individual therapy for each victim.

watching war victims progressing and involving in life.

provide a normal and stable for each war victims.

How will you measure success?

. I will measure the success of New Beginning by the number of patients that will involve and merge with society and find their place between people and get a job in Yemen, Abyan.

Sustainability

How will you recruit new members for your venture?

through media and word of mouths. people will get touched by the real impact of the organization, so i will do a social event that will be focusing about storytelling. The main thing people love is to feel engaged so i will show them my step by step plan and the sustainability of the project.

How will you appoint new leaders and transfer leadership when the founding members want to leave the team?

by the efficiency and effectiveness of each member. the leaders will have a certain characteristics such as social, problem solver, efficient, confident, organized, fair, integrity, negotiator,... etc.

How will you continue your project in 6-months time or once you have spent all of its initial capital?

My secret weapon of sustainability is by opening an internet café which is very profitable everywhere in Yemen and I can cover it by the Ashoka that will supply New Beginning and ensure long term sustainability. Finally, the donations that i will get from people and organizations.
