About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

The Problem that we are challenged with is lack of funds to help us to our work in these communities hinders our progress. We have no funds to help us run our work no computer to help us communicate our progress and the storage of information has to be electronic and also we cannot get access other places in Jinja because we don’t have Transport to those areas.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

My idea is unique because it will help those that cannot help themselves to get land acquisitions or have a place to sleep. Building new babies' home, Buying Mattresses for orphanages in Jinja and surrounding areas. Helping the football academy to improve the talents of the orphans in playing football and this will help them get scholarships and even club football to be in.
Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

The people of Jinja have learnt that Jinja Decides is there to help them to improve their lives. In August we cleaned and swept the street with Jinja School of Nursing. After this the Taxi drivers also asked Jinja Decides to clean the town with them. The attitude of residents has changed towards their community because of us empowering them to give back their community. See our face book account (jinja decides)

The Story
What was the defining moment that led you to this innovation?

Jinja is where i was born it used to be an industrial town of Uganda.
After 25 years it has been marginalized when i went back i found the town looking like a ghost town so i went back and i said i will make a difference at home. That is why i started to develop the Jinja Decides concept of giving back to the community under the theme "Making a difference at home."
