What makes your innovation unique?

It based on mobilization of social capital, which helped to realize a 100 000 (USD) pilot one-year project without financial investment of organizers and create a base for a new market of social business with approximately value of 1,5 mln (USD). There are different technologies (web, money-boxes etc), but the heart is a technology of providing, which is close to advocacy campaign and rather simple (see story). The Story
What was the defining moment that led you to this innovation?

During last 20 years I work for development civil society in Ukraine and improvement of public participation. During last 7 years I fight for a life and health of my 8-years son. So, I know what feel thousands of usual parents, when they turn out in a situation, when they have to save their kids, but their possibilities (including their friends) are not enough. It is very close to shock and most of them do not know what to do, where to go and even how to ask for help. I remember my feeling when person, which my family never met before, save life of my son for the first time.
I had enough knowledge and experience how to develop sustainable NGO in 90-s, and wider projects of public participation in the last decade. During 2 years I studied experience of different community foundations and formed own ideas as 4-steps plan. All my previous knowledge and experience helped me redirect all personal emotions for creation of the new fair market of charity donations as well as social investments in our community. I found a small team of people, who agreed to invest their time and efforts in this pilot project. And finally we did it.
