About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

There are different types of diseases that stem from unsanitary water consumption, poor hygiene, and the other environmental factors that make it difficult for the Indian slums to sustain themselves on an everyday basis.

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

The RSD- Reusable Sanitary Diaper targets a new lifestyle for people living in slums and for them to use the diaper on an everyday basis in order to improve the conditions of living and reduce health related issues.
Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

The diaper will be made in order to be reusable. By doing so, people living in slums will be able to have a mean to be able to relieve themselves at any time and not relieve themselve in targeted areas. This will therefore improve sanitary control and improve the well being of the people living in it.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

-Reduce child mortality rates, India being one of the biggest number around the world compared to other poor countries. -Improve hygiene.
