Project Summary
Elevator Pitch

Concise Summary: Help us pitch this solution! Provide an explanation within 3-4 short sentences.

2016,some are preparing to visit the moon while alot of children are unable to go to school!
The main aim of "Yalla2School"is to stimulate learning environments, help children to go to school without worries and implant volunteering and leadership in them.

WHAT IF - Inspiration: Write one sentence that describes a way that your project dares to ask, "WHAT IF?"

What if all poor people were educated? Investing in their education wouldn't be the most effective way of reducing poverty?
About Project

Problem: What problem is this project trying to address?

Since the rate of unemployment is high, the government is unable to offer jobs to everyone especially to the poor uneducated parents. So because of the lack of ressources, education for poor children especially girls, isn't always a given. As their parents think that they would be more beneficial in the farms or begging in the street or working as housekeepers than going to school and because they can't afford school materials (books, bags etc..)

Solution: What is the proposed solution? Please be specific!

In a lot of different areas in the country which are affected by poverty, education can be the path to peace and success. All children deserve a strong start in life, and we believe early education is the key to unlocking future success. That's why the aim of our project is to make sure that school materials needs wouldn't be an obstacle or a reason to force kids to drop from schools. We will try our best to afford those needs depending on donations and sponsors !More over we'll try to stimulate learning environments, work with teachers and local community members to achieve greater levels of literacy and empower the kids with a spirit of leadership, engagement and volunteerism through a variety of activities, sport and educational events.
Impact: How does it Work

Example: Walk us through a specific example(s) of how this solution makes a difference; include its primary activities.

Well we still in the idea phase where our group members meet very often to discuss the strategies, our target population , our future goals, how we gonna start and talking to people about our project idea and what are their opinion about it ect.. but since most of us are volunteers in local associations we got an opportunity to help in 2 occasions already : *we managed to afford some schools tools and books for 2 poor kids in our local community . *we had the opportunity to send books and different school materials to a poor area in Sousse in coordination with an other association.

Impact: What is the impact of the work to date? Also describe the projected future impact for the coming years.

*The projected future impact we see beside helping poor kids in our local community to go to schools without worries ,is to help them also during the year if they have difficulties in their studies by looking for volunteering teachers to help them or we will do it ourselves since most of us are in the university now. We will work inside the school making out of it the best place where the kids spend the time by creating clubs to boost their innovation, leadership capacities, and the volunteering work. we look forward to create small libraries through the "read to me"mini project inside the schools to encourage them to read. we will integrate them in cleaning campaigns and redecorating the classrooms and the schools, planting trees ect.. *An other goal is to help adult and elderly people unable to write and read.

Spread Strategies: Moving forward, what are the main strategies for scaling impact?

Where do we see this project in 10 years ? We see it turned into a well known association that works hard to help kids study finish school so they could get jobs that would give them a proper life. Firstly in our state Sousse and later on, we would spread our wings and move on to other states. We would go even go further as to try to get school buses for those that live far away from the schools' location. We would try to help the schools with their supplies (Computers ,Tables ,Chairs...) by collaborating with big associations and the government as well.
Sustainability

Financial Sustainability Plan: What is this solution’s plan to ensure financial sustainability?

(Through credibility and honesty ) We believe that our positive impact and our work in the community will defend us . We will ensure the initiatives financial sustainability by giving reports of our activities to them . Beside we will market our project to find other people or association that believes in the same cause . We are targeting partnership with other organisations and the local/regional government help.

Marketplace: Who else is addressing the problem outlined here? How does the proposed project differ from these approaches?

There are various associations which are working for the same cause such AIESEC,JCI,Tunisian Red Crescent and many more ... But the difference between us would be that instead laying in a pile in a corner until someone finally moves them to the other corner, all the school equipments and materials we would get would actually reach those who need it. An other difference remains in the fact that those associations organise an event to collect books and that's it unlike us .Beside we won't be limited just to helping with the schools materials, we will involve the kids in clubs and events.

Founding Story

Well honestly i had a different idea 2 months ago in Uconn and i changed it because i find out that this one needs more attention! The "Aha" moment was when one day i passed by the local of an association to look for books for poor kids and i was extremely shocked by the mountains of books standing in the room. And when i went to an other association i saw the same picture and people coming in and coming out donating books and school materials but it just makes the mountains bigger without any destinations and in other hand the need of this equipments by poor area is very big that's when i thought about a project that coordinates the efforts and be engaged in this cause .

Team

well we are a small group of active youth in the local community since we are volunteers in local associations . The oldest member is around 60 and the youngest is around 17 but most of us are in college with age between (22-25) We study different things for exemple we have who are studying management, business, entrepreneurship, design, law, , information, webmarketing ect.. and a retired teachers ,as for now . With the project going bigger we will integrate other people. As for work we meet , discuss , help each other and coordinate efforts taken into account of course each one's specialities and competences.

Hey friend,

Great work! I love the energy and empathy you are bringing out through this. I would highly encourage you to think of creating a model that works and also generates some money. This money is essential for you to make progress and scale, will help with the sustainability of the model. Remember that Changemaking is a journey, lot's of ups and downs but if you keep going eventually you will get there.

Here is my feedback, it might sound harsh but it is with good intentions. Best of luck!

Pitch
An Elevator pitch reflects the idea that it should be possible to deliver the summary in the time span of an elevator ride, or approximately thirty seconds to two minutes. Think of if you work on a 20 story building and you are with you an investor in that elevator, how would you pitch your idea? If you told me “The main aim of "Yalla2School" project is to make material needs the least of your worries ^^”, I would say yes and that is it. You want to sell your idea/solution to him! The best way to do this is to start with the pain/problem. Talk about why is this an issue and how are you addressing it. Use some statistics to show the issue very quick.

What if:
I feel that this could be much more powerful. I don’t think it is that inspirational to say invest in poor people’s education. I would suggest saying like, what if all poor people were educated?

Problem:
Where is this? How many people are having this problem? Why is this happening? Why is this not solved yet? What is the root cause of this problem? Much work needs to be done to understand the problem. Ask people. Talk to 30 families that are having these problems and see what they say about the reason why they are in that place.
Solution:
Ok, how are you going to ensure that students have their materials.
Example:

Ok! This section is asking you to explain how are you going to make it happen? Where do you find the students, how can they learn about you, where do you get the funds, what do they get, how do you measure.
Impact:
Think of how are you going to define success? How does success look like to you? How are you going to know you reached success? How are you going to measure progress? Set some milestones and goals. Your vision statement is more like a mission statement, which is focused on what you do. Vision statement is what will happen if what you do is effective and successful. Think of a vision statement, what would it look like 10 years from now? What would you impact be? Set a vision that you want to accomplish and then everything that you do should be to reach that point. A cool vision statement that I like is from Oxfam: A just world without poverty. Think of something simple but also that makes you strive to achieve.
Full Impact:
Look for a repeatable and scalable model that is simple and powerful because this is the essence of scale and full impact. Once that model is developed the full impact could be reached. This is a very strategic part. Think of creating a repeatable and scalable model that is simple to replicate and there is a source of revenue to keep it sustainable.
Financial:
I don’t think this is a good way to think about this because then you always will have to depend on the community to defend you. One day if you start an organization you want to get paid for what you are doing. Think of introducing a revenue stream to this model.
Marketplace:
Think more about what others are doing to address this and how will you do it much better than them. Analyze the market, see how others make money out of this.
Founding Story:
Wonderful Story!! This is powerful, use parts of this as part of the elevator pitch.
Team:
The team is the most important part of this so focus a lot on building a great team. Think of having an advisory board as well.
