The field experience of FIMe has detected an increasing level of violence in the society and in family and community relationships. For more than ten years, this organization have worked to change the way conflicts are treated and solved. The aim of this initiative is to better the existed communication systems by decreasing everyday violence. The way to solve the conflicts is by bettering the self- esteem, developing the skills to insert people into society and to make them get self-sustainability so they do not depend anymore on the State.

The aim of the program is to decrease and eliminate all manifestations of violence and crime generated by young people of gangs, eradicate clashes between gangs and bring peace to the streets and schools of the North side of Mexico city. The progam “Skills’ Development and Training for Life” helps us to decrease risk factors and to fortify skills to solve problems in a non-violent way. This allows young pepople to return to their academic life. A model of education of 56 lessons prepare them for work and to do supportive community actions.
The Bullets in The Hood: Anti Gun Violence Tour is committed to getting guns off our streets, weapons out of the hands of young Americans and making safer communities across the nation. To begin this process, healing dialogue must be initiated between societal members. Gun-related violence takes the lives of thousands of American youth every year. In some communities, possessing a gun is no more uncommon than carrying an iPod and affects youth of all races and economic strata.
Our initiative searches to consolidate and promote a network that has generated in the Commune of Chiguayante on the topic of Protection of the Nonguen State. To expand the spreading and awareness of the population to stop micro trafficking and the indiscriminate tree felling in the native forest. Through communicational campaigns we engage the community to protect this future National Reserve. Our Organization searches to establish alliances and networks to spread the importance of protecting this valuable natural heritage.

Youth gangs and violence in Toronto's culturally diverse inner-city communities present enormous challenges to underprivileged at-risk teens facing daily struggles with deprivation, abuse and conflicts between their home, school and surrounding street youth culture. The Peacemaking Circle Program (Circle Program) developed by Peacebuilders International has effectively helped these youth find alternatives to violence and crime in meeting their every day challenges; and work towards long-term solutions.
Peacemakers in Action (PIA) is an initiative of the Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding (TC), a New York-based not-for-profit NGO with practical programs that instill respect, reduce tension, and improve how people treat one another in religiously diverse settings in the US and around the globe. PIA identifies, trains, and introduces to the world through in- depth case studies religious peacemakers who bring peace to areas of armed conflict while bravely risking their lives and freedom.
