I am a teacher of Theatre Arts, Literature and Language at the Vide Bouteille Secondary School. I was raised at Agard, Morne Du Don, Castries, St. Lucia, and attended the Morne Du Don Government Combined School and subsequently succeeded to the St. Joseph's Convent School. In 1993-1995, I attended the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College, where I pursued an Associate Degree in Spanish and Literature. Following completion of my studies, I joined the staff of the Vide Bouteille Secondary School. This is where I began my amateur theatrical career, by training students in improvisation and dramatic simulations for performance in and out of school. In 1998-2000, I pursued studies at the Division of Teacher Education and Educational Administration at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College. At Teacher’s College, I studied the response of students using Theatre across the curriculum. In 2005-2008 I pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre at the Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls Texas. At University, I directed plays and served on various crew. I also directed performances in the community where I resided. Since I have returned home, I have become the co-director of a puppet theatrical company, the single, only, “one –of- a- kind” on the island: Silverliningz International. My company creates unconventional puppets for various occasions. One of my most recent creations is the well-known local children story of “Masquerade”, which depicts the likes of Papa Djab, Mary Anset, Chauval Bois, and others. The company Silverliningz has only been in existence for a little over two years and has already touched and transformed the lives of many who have witnessed the works
