Isabela Carvalho is a Change Manager at Ashoka. She leads global engagements in partnership with companies and foundation, and designs outreach and community mobilization strategies at Ashoka Changemakers, a program that maps impactful solutions and activates networks of social innovators worldwide. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, a Master’s degree in Communications for Social Impact, and has also worked in international cooperation and public relations. Besides her work in development, she is also passionate for traveling, storytelling, and languages. Isabela was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but has lived in many different countries, supporting a social enterprise promoting youth employment in Germany, coordinating a bilateral program uniting Brazilian and Dutch youth for low-income community empowerment, and writing about accessible tourism for an online magazine in Portugal. Her goal is to help building a more empathetic world, where people feel empowered and confident to create change.
